Eat Just, formerly known as Hampton Creek, has been one of the most tumultuous little plant-based companies. Their products have swung in and out of availability multiple times, and they’ve been plagued with legal battles. In late 2020, we thought they were phasing their salad dressing line out for good, but it’s back again! It seems four years of “pseudo online bullying and boxes of hate mail” from Just Ranch fans going through withdrawals was influential.
Eat Just Relaunches Just Ranch in Two Dairy-Free Varieties
Eat Just has relaunched both the Original and Chipotle Just Ranch flavors. But this time around, they’ve swapped the squeeze bottle for mayonnaise-style jars. Loyal Just Ranch followers should also be aware that the formula has changed slightly. They are very minor changes to the seasonings and additives, so they might go unnoticed in the taste and consistency.

Just Ranch FAQs
What Exactly Changed in the Formula?
The primary ingredients have stayed the same, though we can’t confirm if any ingredient ratios were adjusted. All changes were in the “2% or less” ingredients. The phosphoric acid, dehydrated shiitake mushroom, cultured dextrose, and potassium sorbate were removed from the recipe. Propylene glycol alginate, which is a thickener, emulsifier, and stabilizer, was added. Again, these were very minor ingredients, so you might not even notice these changes.
Is Just Ranch back for Good?
I don’t think anyone can answer that question. The last time it came back on the market, it was discontinued in less than a year. Before that it seemed fleeting as well. We hope that this becomes a mainstay product line for Eat Just, but only time will tell!
Are the Jars Glass or Plastic?
The initial re-launch is in glass jars, not plastic.
I Can’t Find it Locally. Can I Order It?
Not as of yet, but some online shops might start carrying it soon. It is shelf-stable, so it can be shipped. In the meantime, try whisking your own Dairy-Free Ranch Dressing. It’s easy and we prefer it to store bought!

Thank God it is back
Thank God Just Ranch is back. My daughter and I both love it. It is the only ranch dressing my daughter can eat, so she has been really missing it!
We ♡ Just Ranch! Wish we could find it!
We LOVE just Ranch but we can not find it anymore. We ordered it when it 1st became available on Walmart.com, now it shows it’s no longer in stock.
Response from Go Dairy Free
They should restock! I’d click on that notification button. The “Just” company said they are selling it through them – they probably just temporarily sold out since the announcement.
