Let Thy Food Vegan Dips include Spinach Artichoke and Queso

By Alisa Fleming on October 17, 2015 Dairy-Free Dip and Spread Reviews, Product Reviews

I was honestly expecting the same old vegan “nacho cheese” flair from Let Thy Food dips, but what I received were culinary creations. Each variety is crafted with quality organic ingredients, has a rich, creamy base thanks to the use of cashews, and to say that let thy food dips are boldly flavored, could perhaps be an understatement.

When we first sample Let Thy Food Vegan Dips, they had three flavors. This artisan company has since increased their creamy line to include five varieties – three of which are made without nutritional yeast!

I’ve included tasting notes below with the flavors that we’ve tried. If you’ve bought and tried any of them, be sure to leave your unbiased rating and review below!

    Spinach Artichoke

When we tried the initial selection of Let Thy Food Vegan Dips, this was our hands down favorite. It had an appealing sour cream-like consistency, but with tons of spinach and artichoke bits! The flavor is a touch sharp and tangy, but with a relatively well-rounded, herby flavor. Overall, it was not only addictive straight-up with bread and veggies, we also morphed it into an amazing sauce for a rice dish.

    Smoky Chedd’r

This flavor replaced Chedd’r Bac’n Dip you see in my photos. I believe the two are similar, because the “bacon” dip had a mild smokiness. It was a bit too tangy though, so hopefully they’ve mellowed it a bit with this switch.

    Chile Con Queso

This variety is pleasantly, yet mildly cheesy, and complemented with notably fresh, organic tomatoes. But what really takes center stage here is the chiles! While I loved the underlying flavor, this fire-breathing dip was too hot for my timid taste buds, so I passed it on to Tony. I assumed my hot sauce-loving husband would relish the heat, but it was too powerful for him! If you love pushing fiery limits, then this dip is for you.

Forget what you thought you knew about dairy-free dips. These perfectly creamy creations are spiked with gluten-free beer or wine, to meld the amazing organic ingredients. The Spinach Artichoke won us over for it’s deep, refined and very versatile palate. We also raved about the underlying rich flavors in the Chile Con Queso, but our timid taste buds couldn’t take the heat.
