Lifeway Cultured Oat Milk could be Better than Kefir for Digestive Health

One of the leading U.S. kefir companies released an expansive dairy-free line late last year, and it’s now reaching full distribution. Lifeway Cultured Oat Milk is available nationwide at a range of major retailers (see below) in a selection of classic flavors. Each variety is formulated with simple ingredients, has less sugar than dairy-free kefirs of years past, and contains 10 different live & active vegan probiotic cultures. And since oats are a natural prebiotic, these beverages are also quite symbiotic for GI health.

Millions of people suffer stomach issues from dairy, and probiotics themselves rarely fix the problem. Fortunately, this cultured product has all of the good bacteria benefits without lactose or milk proteins. Be sure to leave your unbiased rating and review once you buy and try any of them.

Just tried the 8oz Strawberry Vanilla Oatmilk. Great flavor, no chalky aftertaste and perfect size for tossing in the lunch bag. I will be looking for a 4 pack to come out to make it more cost effective.

Not quite what I was expecting

I’m lactose intolerant and Kefir seems to really be hard for me to digest so I thought I would try this oat based product. It has the consistency of Kefir but not the tartness that I enjoy. But, I suppose that’s the trade off for a digestible product. I never notice any difference when I take probiotics so I can’t say how well it works in that regards but I trust it is working. I always try to take it with some fiber to get it in to my GI as much as possible. 4 of 5 stars because it doesn’t really taste like milk based Kefir.

    My love for Kefir Milk

My gastroenterologist put me on the Kefir drink 8oz per day, I love both the oat milk and the 1% milkfat. I don’t do well with lactose. so, I usually buy the oat milk brand because it has less sugar, however, I love the tartness of the 1% milk. I have been on this for a few weeks now and it does seem to be helping!! I will definitely continue to drink this, for my health and I love how it tastes, all of them! 🙂
