Lilapops has gone out of business. For other allergy-friendly lollipops, look to brands like YumEarth.
We haven’t trialed Lilapops, so this is an informational review post only. I cannot yet give it a rating or offer personal notes, but if you have tried it, please do leave a comment with your own review!
While grocery shopping with some friends late last year (yes, that’s what food bloggers do – they grocery shop together!), one of the ladies inquired about a good allergen-free / gluten-free cough drop. None of us had a clue at that time, but I now have a recommendation to share: Lilapops.
Truth be told, these are candy. They’re sugary-sweet and come in a fun lollipop form. They get their natural throat relief from honey and marshmallow root extract, which is definitely a tastier alternative to menthol!
Plus, they are made without artificial dyes, artificial flavors, preservatives, dairy, eggs, wheat / gluten, and are non-medicated. The ingredients are simply honey, marshmallow root extract, water, sugar, corn syrup, and natural flavors. I definitely wouldn’t call them health food. But these treats are definitely a sweet way to enjoy some soothing cough relief.
