Magnum Non-Dairy Ice Cream Bars Dip into Three Vegan Flavors

If you’re longing for that delicious crack of chocolate as it gives way to creamy ice cream, then you might be excited to know that Magnum has a non-dairy line. (Yes, in this case non-dairy means dairy-free!) The popular ice cream bar maker launched two varieties of their Vegan ice cream bars in the U.K. and Australia late in 2018. They then launched very similar Non-Dairy ice cream bars in the U.S. in early 2019. And now they’re adding a third flavor: Sea Salt Caramel!

Magnum’s Vegan and Non-Dairy ice cream bars are made with a vegan ice cream that isn’t straight up coconut. It’s a creamy emulsion of coconut oil, pea protein, and sweetener to let the vanilla and caramel flavors shine. The outer shell is a Rainforest Alliance Certified non-dairy chocolate. Magnum Non-Dairy Ice Cream Bars Dip into Three Vegan Flavors

These frozen dessert bars are called “Magnum Vegan” in countries outside of the U.S., but “Magnum Non-Dairy” in the U.S. And the ingredients do vary just a little in other countries. For example, wheat is not listed in the U.K. ingredients, but a “may contain” warning for milk is. Nonetheless, they’re made without dairy ingredients in both countries. But as always, check the product, and contact the manufacturer if you are dealing with a severe food allergy.

Classic

A vegan vanilla ice cream is enclosed in a rich robe of sweet non-dairy Belgian chocolate.

Nutrition (per 3-ounce bar): 230 calories, 14g fat, 26g carbs, 0g fiber, 20g sugars, 1g protein.*

Almond

This is essentially the same as the Classic, but the chocolate coating is filled with crunchy almond pieces.

Nutrition (per 3-ounce bar): 250 calories, 16g fat, 25g carbs, 0g fiber, 19g sugars, 2g protein.*

Sea Salt Caramel (new in 2020!)

Unlike the other two, this flavor is made with a sea salt caramel dairy-free ice cream that’s dipped in a vegan milk chocolate shell.

I tried these because I am allergic to dairy and wheat but didn’t realize they had wheat in them until I ate one and soon started itching. Thought maybe they had dairy in them until I read the ingredients and seen there was wheat in them so had to quickly take a allergy pill. So disappointing because they are delicious. Wish you could replace the wheat with gluten-free flour.

I’m allergic to dairy and I decided to try this. The others I’ve tried from other brands have been gross or flavorless. These are amazing. I got the salted Caramel and they are so sweet and creamy! Overall great, definitely recommend!!!!

I bought the almond bars because a friend suggested them. These are the BEST non dairy bars. They are so creamy and the chocolate/almond shell is just perfect. I can enjoy ice cream flavor without any worries of feeling sick afterward. 🙂
