Magnum Non-Dairy, known as Magnum Vegan outside of North America, is once again making headlines. These dairy-free ice cream bars originally launched in 2018. In 2020, they added a Sea Salt Caramel flavor. And to kick off this new year, Magnum has unveiled two new non-dairy options: Hazelnut Crunch Bars and Minis. The minis include six little bars, three Classic and three Almond.

Magnum Non-Dairy Ice Cream Bars Dip into More Vegan Flavors

Magnum’s Vegan and Non-Dairy ice cream bars are made with a vegan ice cream that isn’t straight up coconut. It’s a creamy emulsion of coconut oil, pea protein, and sweetener to let the vanilla, caramel, and nut flavors shine. The crackly outer shell is a Rainforest Alliance Certified non-dairy chocolate. We’ve got more details below, and welcome you to leave your own product rating and review below!

    Hazelnut Crunch

This sweet and salty treat contains dairy-free hazelnut ice cream, a salted caramel swirl, and a chocolate dip dotted with caramelized hazelnuts.

More Allergen Notes & Country Variations

These frozen dessert bars are called “Magnum Vegan” in countries outside of the U.S., but “Magnum Non-Dairy” in the U.S. And the ingredients do vary just a little in other countries. For example, wheat is not listed in the U.K. ingredients, but a “may contain” warning for milk is. Nonetheless, they’re made without dairy ingredients in both countries. But as always, check the product, and contact the manufacturer if you are dealing with a severe food allergy.

    Nice!

The initial bite of the bar is decadent. The chocolate has floral notes which I didn’t expect for a national brand. It was creamy and not too sweet. Then after I swallowed and breathed in it tasted skunky or medicinal. In other words, unpleasant and disappointing. It also tastes like there’s a lot of additives because it tastes alcoholic and hovers on the back of your pallet. I figured this brand was more adept with flavor profiles. If you’re scarfing down in a munchie haze, these will do.

I was diagnosed with a dairy allergy a couple of years ago, and while there are some good dairy-free substitutes out there, these Magnum bars are by far my favorite. A little expensive, but worth it.

Good Lord…….how is it possible to make a dairy free bar that tastes better than dairy???

Sadly I didn’t realize there was wheat in them. Probably a good thing! If these were around all the time I would be in trouble!

My fav is the classic but very hard to find. So the almond is almost just as good. The only thing lacking in the almond bar is that it isn’t dark chocolate. I only buy one box a week cause I don’t trust myself to stop eating them.

Love these frozen treats but I suffer from irritable bowel and they cause terrible gas and bloating. Apparently the guar gum. It is a natural laxative. Also I am allergic to corn and thids is a hidden ingredient under the name glucose. Great taste, but for me a very occasional treat.
