Magnum Non-Dairy Ice Cream Bars Dip into Three Vegan Flavors

If you’re longing for that delicious crack of chocolate as it gives way to creamy ice cream, then you might be excited to know that Magnum has a non-dairy line. (Yes, in this case non-dairy means dairy-free!) The popular ice cream bar maker launched two varieties of their Vegan ice cream bars in the U.K. and Australia late in 2018. They then launched very similar Non-Dairy ice cream bars in the U.S. in early 2019. And now they’re adding a third flavor: Sea Salt Caramel!

Magnum’s Vegan and Non-Dairy ice cream bars are made with a vegan ice cream that isn’t straight up coconut. It’s a creamy emulsion of coconut oil, pea protein, and sweetener to let the vanilla and caramel flavors shine. The outer shell is a Rainforest Alliance Certified non-dairy chocolate. Magnum Non-Dairy Ice Cream Bars Dip into Three Vegan Flavors

These frozen dessert bars are called “Magnum Vegan” in countries outside of the U.S., but “Magnum Non-Dairy” in the U.S. And the ingredients do vary just a little in other countries. For example, wheat is not listed in the U.K. ingredients, but a “may contain” warning for milk is. Nonetheless, they’re made without dairy ingredients in both countries. But as always, check the product, and contact the manufacturer if you are dealing with a severe food allergy.

Classic

A vegan vanilla ice cream is enclosed in a rich robe of sweet non-dairy Belgian chocolate.

Nutrition (per 3-ounce bar): 230 calories, 14g fat, 26g carbs, 0g fiber, 20g sugars, 1g protein.*

Almond

This is essentially the same as the Classic, but the chocolate coating is filled with crunchy almond pieces.

Sea Salt Caramel (new in 2020!)

Unlike the other two, this flavor is made with a sea salt caramel dairy-free ice cream that’s dipped in a vegan milk chocolate shell.

Just tastes like sugar and water

I have had numerous non-dairy ice creams, mainly sorbets/coconut cream based ones so i had that expectation of quality of and flavour. I bought these expecting to taste like creamy vanilla and chocolate, but gross! Just tasted like frozen syrupy diluted milk and water…never ever again. I recommend Halo tops dairy free ice creams, they taste really good. But this one was not pleasant to try, we chucked the rest in the bin, no one in my family liked it. :S

They are amazing. Easily the nicest non-dairy ice cream I’ve ever tried. Have recommended them to all my friends. I haven’t tried sea salt caramel yet but the other two are perfect. I would go as far to say they are better than normal magnums!!!

Smooth and tasty. I’ve only tried the vanilla variety as that is what is available. Be prepared when you bite into the bar that the chocolate coating breaks off very easily. YUM!

We finally bought these in the U.S. for the first time because they were on sale for a great price. My husband said they didn’t taste dairy-free at all, and loved them. High praise since he doesn’t really like most dairy-free ice cream. The chocolate is on the sweet and milky side, and the ice cream has a very whipped, creamy consistency. We also tried them in the U.K. – they were richer there, with less of a whipped consistency. My vote was with the UK version, but my husband preferred the US version. Either way, they were a win!

I am lactose intolerant. I have waited for years for some ice-cream company to discover that we have a lot of people in this area who are lactose intolerant and find a way to make an ice-cream dip and novelty bars we could eat. We finally got the dip cream from Lactaid but no novelty bars. Now Magnum has come out with the bars. I am really enjoying eating them and not having to worry about hunting a Lactaid pill to take, THANK YOU MAGNUM for thanking about us.
