Updated April 2024! Macadamia nuts are native to Australia, which is where this brand got their start. Because of the price (those nuts aren’t cheap!), macadamia milk has struggled to take hold in the market. But Milkadamia Macadamia Milk has made a go of it with more affordable pricing and a popular creamy formula. This dairy-free beverage is now available across the U.S. in a range of varieties for breakfast, baking, and enjoying coffeehouse favorites.
Milkadamia Macadamia Milk Now in 7 Dairy-Free Varieties
Macadamias are pretty darn creamy on their own. But to make a more consumer-ready beverage, Milkadamia makes a thinner macadamia milk that’s well emulsified, but still carrageenan-free. They started with a classic line of lightly sweetened and unsweetened flavors. But over the years, they’ve added barista milks and ready-to-drink lattes to the mix. If you leave a review below, be sure to indicate which type(s) you’ve tried!

Milkadamia Macadamia Milk FAQs
Why Does Milkadamia Taste Different than I Remember?
The company has reformulated their core milk alternative a couple of times in the past five years. They lightened it up a bit first, and later made it a touch thicker and added more fortification. The changes were minor, but some people did notice the difference.
What is Barista Milk?
Milkadamia’s macadamia milk is multi-purpose, for using on cereal, in smoothies, for recipes, and even splashing in coffee or tea. But their barista milk is formulated with a little more richness and the ability to froth and foam, so you can make coffeehouse style drinks at home.
Is Milkadamia a U.S. or Australian Product?
Milkadamia is a U.S. product made by a U.S. division of an Australian company called Jindilli. “Some people assume we’re an American company, but we’ve always been an Australian owned company in fact and at heart,” owner Morgan Roy says. “We started in the US just because it’s a larger market and we want to support Australian farmers though exports.”
Are the Macadamias for Milkadamia Grown in Australia?
They were initially grown on the family’s Jindilli Farm. But as the brand grew, their small farm couldn’t support the production needs. So they now source nuts from other macadamia farms in Australia and South Africa.

Froths well
The taste and creaminess of the barista milk is similar to their regular macadamia milk, but this one froths better. It might work well for latte art too.
I never thought I would like, let alone, love a milk substitute
Never say never!
It's good
If you’re looking for a very smooth tasty milk beverage, then this is worth a try. I’ve made macadamia milk, and this is definitely not a nut heavy blend. I honestly couldn’t guess the base if I didn’t already know what it was. Like most milk alternatives on the market, it’s an emulsion that’s crafted to be very drinkable and fortified to make it meet some of the nutrition standards. For that, they’ve done a good job.
Too many ingredients
There are nut milks that have fewer ingredients. Water. Nuts. Himalayan salt. And maybe one other. This milk has a “hospital” taste.
My first non-dairy tryout. Will stay with it for sure.
At age 78, I have been a big consumer of 1% dairy all my life. I am currently looking for painless ways to reduce calories while stepping up my fitness goals. At about 1/3 the calories and 2/3 the fat, I had to try it. Like anything new, there is an aquired taste but this one was easy so I hope it does what I want it to. Too new to tell yet.
Bad Aftertaste
Hoped to like it, but has an aftertaste something like cloves.
Wonderful alternative to milk
This product is delicious and our whole family enjoys it. We drink the unsweetened and the taste is fantastic. Good in everything from coffee to omelets & cereals. So grateful to have found this product. So much better than soy, almond or oat.
great product
delicious, good ingredients, available without sugar.
Would like it to be organic.
Great Product
I have been using milkadamia original for over a year as a coffee creamer, for cereal, to make hot chocolate, etc.
I found that this milk alternative has a smoother taste than almond, oak and other nut mikes. Personal preference, I guess.
Thank you for this product. Any ideas of making an organic alternative?
