I still remember when Nadamoo Dairy-Free Ice Cream first launched. It was 2004, the same year I started Go Dairy Free. I was so excited to see such a decadent dessert emerge, and have been amazed by how far they’ve come. Their fledgling line was quite mighty, but nothing compared to the eighteen flavors they have today, which include seasonal flavors: Peppermint Bark and Pumpkin Pie. Our information below covers them all!
Nadamoo Dairy-Free Ice Cream in 18 Flavors, from Classics to Seasonal
The picture above shows the 14 flavors that Nadamoo rung in the new year with, but they’ve already added four more! We’ve got a full update here on all of the Nadamoo frozen dessert pint flavors, including notes on the ones we trialed.
We’ve taste-tested this brand on a few occasions, so the reviews have highlights from several of us, including myself, Tony, my niece, my friends Caroline and Raechelle, and Leah (she had her own testing group). I’ve also interspersed some of our photos for you to see the actual consistency of this dairy-free ice cream. And don’t forget to leave your own review and rating below once you’ve tried this brand.

Lotta Mint Chip
We loved the luxurious texture and perfectly sweet, naturally minty flavor. But I found the chocolate chips to be a little much. They were quite dark in taste, contrasting, and broke up the consistency. If Nadamoo switched from chips to flakes, I’d be sold. ~ Alisa
Ingredients: organic coconut milk, water, organic agave nectar, organic chocolate chips (organic cane sugar, organic natural chocolate liquor, organic cocoa butter, organic vanilla extract), organic inulin, organic tapioca syrup solids, organic guar gum, organic mint extract, sea salt, organic locust bean gum, organic spirulina powder (color). Birthday Cake Cookie Dough
This flavor is birthday cake ice cream with a smattering of sprinkles and chunks of cookie dough. The ice cream itself is yellow and white swirled, which I think was to represent frosted yellow cake – it was incredibly tasty. It really did bring me back to my childhood days of enjoying yellow cake at parties. It’s sweet, light, and really pleasantly vanilla. I wish there had been a lot more cookie dough mixed in, and that the sprinkles didn’t disappear into the cake. Nonetheless, it’s a delicious flavor for classic dessert fans. ~ Leah
Ingredients: organic coconut milk, water, organic agave nectar, organic inulin, organic tapioca syrup solids, cookie dough (organic light brown sugar, white rice flour, butter alternative (oil blend (palm fruit, canola, and olive oils), water, salt, natural flavor, sunflower lecithin, lactic acid (non-dairy, annatto extract (color)), cane sugar, tapioca flour, potato starch, water, egg replacer (potato starch, tapioca flour, leavening (calcium lactate (non-dairy), calcium carbonate, cream of tartar), cellulose gum, modified cellulose, natural flavor, guar gum, salt, xanthan gum, sodium alginate), organic confetti sprinkles (organic sugar, organic tapioca starch, colors, organic tapioca maltodextrin, baking soda, citric acid), organic guar gum, sea salt, organic locust bean gum. The Rockiest Road
This is a light but ultra-creamy chocolate ice cream studded with crunchy almonds, crumbly cookie bits, and gooey marshmallows. It has a lot of textural interest, which I loved. I trialed two pints of this flavor – one pint had generous cookie bits, but I found just one lone marshmallow, the second pint had marshmallows pop up in each serving, but less cookies and almonds. Hopefully they find balance, but either way, I was a big fan of this decadent treat! ~ Leah
Ingredients: organic coconut milk, water, organic agave nectar, organic inulin, organic tapioca syrup solids, chocolate cookies (cane sugar, butter alternative (oil blend (palm fruit, canola, and olive oils), water, salt, natural flavor, sunflower lecithin, lactic acid (non-dairy, annatto extract (color)), sweet brown rice flour, tapioca flour, arrowroot flour, sorghum flour, xanthan gum, cocoa powder (alkalized), natural flavor, salt), almonds, organic cocoa powder (alkalized), marshmallows (tapioca syrup, cane sugar, water, tapioca starch, carrageenan, soy protein, natural vanilla flavor), organic guar gum, sea salt, organic locust bean gum, natural flavor. Contains: soy, tree nuts (coconut, almond).*
Nutrition (per 1/2 cup serving): 150 calories, 9g fat, 20g carbs, 6g fiber, 9g sugars, 2g protein.*
Pistachio Nut
Like the Vanilla, the consistency was creamy, but a little icy. However, there was an underlying richness that tasted a little buttery. For me, the pistachios gave the overall flavor a little too much of a “soapy” taste, for lack of a better word. Caroline really loved the nutty, pale green ice cream, but she also thought the big pistachio pieces overwhelmed at times. ~ Alisa
Ingredients: organic coconut milk, water, organic agave nectar, pistachios, organic inulin, organic tapioca syrup solids, organic guar gum, sea salt, organic locust bean gum, natural flavor, organic spirulina powder (color). Contains: tree nuts (coconut).*
Nutrition (per 1/2 cup serving): 130 calories, 8g fat, 19g carbs, 5g fiber, 8g sugars, 1g protein.*
Maple Pecan
If let loose in the grocery store with Nadamoo ice cream coupons, this is probably the dairy-free pint that I would buy first. I’m a sucker for this flavor combo, and wasn’t let down by the good, sweet, almost reliable maple-y deliciousness. It was missing just that little something to escalate it to new vegan ice cream heights. I’m not sure what, perhaps just an extra pinch of salt. Nonetheless, it was still quite stellar. ~ Alisa
Ingredients: organic coconut milk, water, organic agave nectar, pecans, organic inulin, organic tapioca syrup solids, natural flavor, organic guar gum, sea salt, organic locust bean gum. Contains: tree nuts (coconut, pecans).*
Nutrition (per 1/2 cup serving): 150 calories, 11g fat, 18g carbs, 5g fiber, 7g sugars, 1g protein.*
Vanilla Bean
I love a good vanilla, and this one delivered. The consistency was rich and creamy with a touch or refreshing iciness. Every bite contained generous amounts of vanilla bean flecks. However, it does have relatively strong coconut undertones that do compete with the warm, sweet flavor. ~ Alisa
Ingredients: organic coconut milk, water, organic agave nectar, organic inulin, organic tapioca syrup solids, organic guar gum, sea salt, organic locust bean gum, vanilla bean specks, natural flavor. Contains: tree nuts (coconut).*
Nutrition (per 1/2 cup serving): 120 calories, 7g fat, 19g carbs, 5g fiber, 8g sugars, 0g protein.*
Chocolate
This one was rich with nary an underlying note of coconut. We all established it as a “good’ solid chocolate ice cream, but it did lack the wow factor. ~ Alisa
Ingredients: organic coconut milk, water, organic fair trade certified agave nectar, organic inulin, organic tapioca syrup solids, organic fair trade certified cocoa powder (alkalized), organic guar gum, sea salt, organic locust bean gum. Contains: tree nuts (coconut).*
Nutrition (per 1/2 cup serving): 120 calories, 7g fat, 20g carbs, 6g fiber, 8g sugars, 1g protein.*
Cookies & Creme
Caroline really liked this flavor and the fact that it had distinct dark chocolaty cookie chunks (these aren’t Oreos!) rather than a cookie-ice cream blend up. The base ice cream was a lot like their Vanilla, creamy and fluffy, but just a touch icy and refreshing. It had a little bit more of an “icing” flavor than vanilla, but unfortunately Raechelle and I thought the coconut milk overwhelmed at times rather than melding. We also wished there were more cookies. Often an entire scoop had just a few chunks. ~ Alisa
Ingredients: organic coconut milk, water, organic agave nectar, chocolate cookies (cane sugar, butter alternative (oil blend (palm fruit, canola, and olive oils), water, salt, natural flavor, sunflower lecithin, lactic acid (non-dairy, annatto extract (color)), sweet brown rice flour, tapioca flour, arrowroot flour, sorghum flour, xanthan gum, cocoa powder (alkalized), natural flavor, salt), organic inulin, organic tapioca syrup solids, organic guar gum, sea salt, organic locust bean gum, natural flavor. Contains: tree nuts (coconut).*
Nutrition (per 1/2 cup serving): 140 calories, 8g fat, 18g carbs, 5g fiber, 10g sugars, 1g protein.*
Pumpkin Pie (Seasonal!)
Their creamy coconut milk ice cream is blended with pumpkin puree and spices, and spiked with pie crust crumbles.
Ingredients: organic coconut milk, water, organic agave syrup, organic inulin, organic tapioca syrup, organic brown sugar, organic pumpkin puree, organic lemon juice concentrate, brown sugar, organic cinnamon powder, almond meal, rice flour, tapioca starch, arrowroot powder, non-gmo canola oil, coconut oil, organic vanilla flavor, organic nutmeg, sorghum flour, xanthan gum, cinnamon powder, organic guar guam, sea salt, organic locust bean gum, organic annatto extract (color), organic cassia, organic ginger, organic allspice, organic gum arabic, organic rosemary. contains coconut, almonds.*
Nutrition (per 2/3 cup serving): 180 calories, 8g fat, 23g carbs, 0g fiber, 15g sugars (includes 8g added sugars), 1g protein.*
Peppermint Bark (Seasonal!)
Unlike traditional peppermint ice cream, this version is dairy-free and has a swirl of chocolate fudge.
Ingredients: water, organic coconut milk, peppermint pieces (cane sugar, non-GMO tapioca syrup, radish juice (color), beet juice (color), natural peppermint oil), organic agave syrup, organic tapioca syrup, organic inulin, fudge swirl (water, sugar, maltodextrin, glycerin, cocoa processed with alkali, natural flavor, pectin, locust bean gum), organic guar gum, sea salt, organic locust bean gum, and natural flavors. Contains: tree nuts (coconut).*

Delicious but have a question
Where can I buy this? I live in Bremerton WA
Response from Go Dairy Free
They have a store locator on their site (look on the right side) -> https://nadamoo.com/
Peanut butter cup
I think there should be more peanut butter chunks
Surprisingly rich
Our ice cream scoop melted into every soft, fluffy, and creamy pint of Nadamoo. For our crew, the Snickerdoodle, Maple Pecan, and Vanilla had that 5-star wow factor, while several others earned solid kudos. Some even won over an anti-coconut, sugar-loving teen. Nonetheless, if you are truly coconut averse, start with the bolder flavor selections. Some of the single flavor varieties, like the Vanilla, do have stronger coconut notes.

Is it normal for this ice cream brand to have no protective seal/band/film? Just wanted to make sure someone didn’t remove it in store
I don’t recall. I would contact the company on this. It would be odd for someone at the store to remove it though.
The birthday cake review stated that the ice cream had a great yellow cake flavor and will take me back to grade school. the review also stated that the chocolate was great but didn’t have any kick. so i decided to go with the birthday cake instead. But when i got it there was absolutely no nostaligic taste nothing remenicent of any original familiar flavors, there was no actual birthday cake and there was no colorful sprinkles. One thing that was good about it was the creamy texture that was a plus in general also that its organic and non gmo, but i must sy the birthday flavor was nothing to rave about actually on the contrary i might rant about how terrible it was, lucky i had the swirl of original coconut to redeem it and luckily i liked the texture, but the flavor of the yellow needs some improvement, next time i should try the chocolate one because its probably a lot better.
Thanks for sharing your honest take Nora! Leah reviewed that flavor (I haven’t tried it myself), but I can tell from her photos that there is a lot of yellow cake going on in the pint she taste-tested. It sounds like yours was shorted. That has happened to me with many brands of non-dairy ice cream – a random pint is almost void of add-ins. I personally like their Snickerdoodle Dough and Vanilla flavors best. Hopefully the chocolate works for you – we have sampled that one, and it was good, just not a home run here.
I have contacted you before at my absolute delight in finding your brand of non dairy icecream I havr Polish friends so I knew what Nada meant. Cannot get the many flovors you write about here in Allen TX but I can wait. Thanks again I can eat ice cream again Yahoo

Where can I find this ice cream in NYC?
It’s hard to find the “find us” on their site isn’t it?! I did a search and found it here -> https://nadamoo.com/find-us/
Our local grocery Stator Bros just got in 14 flavors. Have you ever thought of opening a nada moo ice cream shop? It would be ahit in So Ca
That would be so cool if they did that!
I just saw this ice cream on YouTube thanks to “Happy Healthy Vegan” Anji & Ryan just opened up new flavors sent by NadaMoo! Love it and now wanting to buy some! ?
Nadamoo has the best taste and texture among non-dairy ice creams. I love the mint chocolate chip, snicker doodle and vanilla. My only annoyance/concern is that their ice cream (mostly eat the vanilla flavor) gives me intense flatulence (sorry, just being honest) every single time, unlike other non-dairy ice creams I’ve purchased.
Nadamoo ….you. Are. My. Hero!!!! I love mint chip! I went out on a limb at Whole Foods and forked out the $6.49 on a gamble in desperate need to find a dairy-free “Ice cream” that was comparable to the real thing and I must say you guys have nailed it!!!! You should know that the Whole Foods near me does not give your brand the up front focus on the shelf that it deserves (top shelf in the corner). In my opinion they should move all the so delicious and Ben and Jerry’s out of the way for you guys! Thank you, thank you, thank you ?
I’ve tried a variety of Nada Moo flavors (but I haven’t seen all of them around here yet) and lots of dairy-free “ice creams” too over the years. Not one of them comes particularly close to Nada Moo’s Salted Caramel. And no real dairy ice cream I’ve ever had was better, although some tasted as good as Salted Caramel. (Dairy ice cream doesn’t taste the same, but some are just as tasty as Salted Caramel.) The reviewers couldn’t really describe Salted Caramel, and neither can I. Don’t try; just enjoy it; it is really hard to describe the taste other than to say it is incredible. I buy other flavors from time to time, but only when I can’t find Salted Caramel, which I’ve only ever seen at one store in our area. Today we had MMM…Maple Pecan since I couldn’t find Salted Caramel. It was good, but not nearly as good. I also saw Birthday Cake; I didn’t have my reading glasses on to read the ingredients, so I didn’t buy it this morning. The review made me wish I had (just have to check ingredients first to make sure my son can have it). But, so far, I’m so so spoiled by Salted Caramel that every other “ice cream” I’ve tried, from Nada Moo and from others, is disappointing in comparison. I don’t know how they make it taste so great, but they do. But there is something almost disturbing about the fact that a company can make something a product so much more delicious than the competitors. Sort of makes me think about some of the nasty unnatural tricks the conventional food industry plays on our taste buds to get us addicted. I hope Nada Moo isn’t doing anything insidious but that, instead, they just lucked on perfection through perfectly natural means.
Well that is a raving review! Thanks for sharing Janice!
My Only complaint with this ice cream is that I have to drive to Whole Foods to get it 25?Miles. And it’s still worth it to me. This is the Best Ever. I know this is TMI but I need to say I got no gas from this ice cream..I love this off to Whole Foods on Saturday ?…
Never TMI in the dairy-free world! That is a long drive – pack that cooler out – it keeps well in the freezer 🙂
Is Nadamoo available anywhere in the New York area? Or did you publish this long piece just to tease me?
Haha, definitely not a tease – Nadamoo is pretty well distributed in the U.S. and definitely available in NY. They have a store locator here -> http://nadamoo.com/find-us/
I just discovered this brand. I bought a pint and the next day, emailed the company to complain.
The nutrition label says 4 servings per container. I ONLY GOT ONE SERVING! :O)
omg. If it weren’t so expensive, I’d be eating a pint a day. Salted caramel is more like butterscotch pudding, but it’s still good.
Haha, that is a problem 🙂
So many great flavours! I think pistachio nut would be my favourite, was it really good?
We were split on that flavor, one big love and one not so much 🙂
Nadamoo is definitely one of the best vegan icecreams on the market. So good and creamy!
Super excited to see they are sold at a number of locations near me! Now to decide which to try first!!
SOUNDS REALLY GOOD WHERE CAN I BUY IT HEALTH STORES OR GROCERY STORES?
See their website for a store locator – http://nadamoo.com/find-us/
Hi, Alisa,
I understand why you didn’t publish my comment about the hat. But I had to let you know that I wrote to the company and they’re the most amazing company. Not only did the respond, but they’re it from their merchandise. Cool. Best regards to you and thanks for all. Jane
I was looking for a less-sweet alternative to Luna & Larry’s…I think you guys are it! Just got home and like the first bite! Went online to find reviews..will report back after eating more and see if I don’t crash…lol.
I hope this brand works out well for you Faith!
I just recently went dairy free after watching a horrifying documentary about the dairy industry. I was getting pretty discouraged about giving up my love of ice cream when I couldn’t find a non-dairy alternative that didn’t taste like straight up coconuts (I actually love coconuts but don’t want my ice cream to taste like it ya know?) That is until I found NadaMoo! It is beyond delicious and THE TEXTURE, wow! So creamy! I’ve only had the chocolate flavor but I cannot wait to try more! I highly recommend this brand! My mouth is watering just typing this.
Also, thank you s o much for providing this amazing website! I never realized how much dairy is in EVERYTHING so your website has made it so much easier to go dairy free.
Hi Alyssa, thanks so much for sharing your opinions on this ice cream, too! I know, it definitely can seem impossible to find dairy-free at first, but it will get easier – there are literally millions of dairy-free options these days! I’ll keep sharing them here on this website, but honestly, it’s hard to keep up! 🙂
