Springfield Creamery, the makers of Nancy’s Probiotic Foods, is a family owned Eugene, Oregon company that was founded in 1960. They are dedicated to their dairy product lines, but have also catered to dairy-free customers for years. Their Soy Yogurt was discontinued a few years ago, but they replaced it with a full range of non-dairy Nancy’s Oatmilk Yogurt. And this summer, they’ve decided to completely revamp their oatmilk line. It has a new look and a brand new recipe, with several ingredient changes.
Nancy’s Oatmilk Yogurt Transitions to All New Formula and Packaging
What are the changes in Nancy’s Oatmilk Yogurt? The company swapped the faba bean protein for chickpea protein, down-sized ever so slightly from 6 ounces to the standard 5.3 ounce singles (the multi-serves are still the same size), increased the coconut oil for a richer (and higher fat) consistency, and replaced the agar with gellan gum for thickening. But don’t worry, it’s still dairy-free and soy-free, contains live and active cultures, and has 30 to 50% less sugar than the leading plant-based yogurts (and many dairy yogurts).

More Allergen Notes
These yogurts are made without top allergens, and do not have a “may contain” statement for any allergens. The container we purchased actually had dairy-free, gluten-free, nut-free, and soy-free listed right on the package. However, they are made on shared equipment with dairy (we’re assuming yogurt). They do not specify certified gluten-free oats on the ingredients online, but it looks like they do on the containers. Double check in store and with the company, if needed.

The BEST plant-based yogurt ~ only one I will buy
This yogurt has the texture of flan ~ not the “gloppy” texture of other plant-based yogurts. And because it has REAL sugar (and only 3-4 g), it’s much lower in calories (without having artificial sweetener) than any other plant-based yogurt. It’s the only one I will buy! LOVE the Cold Brew best (but my Sprouts doesn’t carry it, and Whole Foods discontinued) ~ but Mango Hibiscus is a close second.
big no on this grotesquely over sweetened attempt at yogurt
it’s been like 2 Hours since I ate a few spoonfuls and my mouth still feels gross. waaaaay too sweet and not in a good, maybe it would be good for dessert kind of way. hard no on this. BLECH!
Love this yogurt!
I am vegan and recently discovered Nancy’s probiotic oat milk yogurt (plain flavor).
I must tell you, this is the EXACT YOGURT I HAVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR!!!
I have been looking for a non dairy yogurt not loaded with added sugar-this one has NONE! I prefer to sweeten using fruit, nuts, vegan protein powder, etc. I must warn that plain on its own is nothing exciting or yummy.. but a little add in of choice and it’s PERFECTION in my opinion!
Too runny
Strong tasting but what I like least about it is how runny it is. I’ve had kefir that was thicker. I bought it to bake some vegan cupcakes but when I saw the texture I did not think it would work for baking so I didn’t use it. I’m taking it back to the store. Tastes so strong makes me think there’s something wrong with it.
Smells/tastes like kombucha in a bad way!
Yuck! Way too fermented tasting. Texture was globby and weird. Worst yogurt I’ve ever had.
Just awful
Smells terrible and is as thin as water. Pass!
Smells like stinky feet
It tastes even worse.
Excellent Non-Dairy Yogurt For These Reasons
If you’re looking for a non-dairy yogurt with lower sugar content – this is a great sub. I feel the low reviews are likely due to someone comparing a full fat, sweetened yogurt to this excellent product. There are many non-dairy yogurts in that category but for someone looking for a delicious, well-textured replacement in the less-sweet category, Nancy’s are just a wonderful find. I love them and due to having less than half the calories of some of the coconut milk based yogurts, I can enjoy it more often. Yum. The probiotics are a bonus.
It's just so sour
I’ve been vegan a long time and have had some terrible vegan yogurt. This is not that. Once you get past the sourness, the flavor and texture aren’t bad from my perspective. I do appreciate the lower sugar content, but I’ll get my probiotics somewhere else. I like sour, but in this yogurt it’s just too overwhelming for me. I tried the strawberry hibiscus and apple cinnamon flavors. On a positive note, I love all of the non-dairy variety that is now available in so many places! It’s a positive step forward.
Nancy”s Probiotic Oatmilk non- diary Yogurt
I bought ten 6oz containers different flavors, very bland and sour tasting I had to add maple syrup just add some flavor
