Springfield Creamery, the makers of Nancy’s Probiotic Foods, is a family owned Eugene, Oregon company that was founded in 1960. They are dedicated to their dairy product lines, but have also catered to dairy-free customers for years. Their Soy Yogurt was discontinued a few years ago, but they replaced it with a full range of non-dairy Nancy’s Oatmilk Yogurt. And this summer, they’ve decided to completely revamp their oatmilk line. It has a new look and a brand new recipe, with several ingredient changes.
Nancy’s Oatmilk Yogurt Transitions to All New Formula and Packaging
What are the changes in Nancy’s Oatmilk Yogurt? The company swapped the faba bean protein for chickpea protein, down-sized ever so slightly from 6 ounces to the standard 5.3 ounce singles (the multi-serves are still the same size), increased the coconut oil for a richer (and higher fat) consistency, and replaced the agar with gellan gum for thickening. But don’t worry, it’s still dairy-free and soy-free, contains live and active cultures, and has 30 to 50% less sugar than the leading plant-based yogurts (and many dairy yogurts).

More Allergen Notes
These yogurts are made without top allergens, and do not have a “may contain” statement for any allergens. The container we purchased actually had dairy-free, gluten-free, nut-free, and soy-free listed right on the package. However, they are made on shared equipment with dairy (we’re assuming yogurt). They do not specify certified gluten-free oats on the ingredients online, but it looks like they do on the containers. Double check in store and with the company, if needed.

Both times I had Nancy’s Oat milk yogurt I was deathly ill
I do not understand how oat milk yogurt can make you sick but unfortunately both times I had this yogurt, I was violently ill. I was wondering if anybody else has had this problem .
Still looking for an excellent plain yogurt
I was so excited to try this, I want to find a plain yogurt that’s higher in protein and lower in sugar. I purchased the big container of plain yogurt because I usually make breakfast with the plain Silk or So Delicious yogurts. When I opened this it smelled like cheese and I was concerned it was spoiled. I like sour yogurts, but this was so funky tasting it ruined whatever I added to it (oatmeal, fruit, granola, etc.) No amount of jam or maple syrup could save it.
Why is it sour?
I had high hopes for this yogurt, since I’m trying to work on my poor gut bacteria issues. I just ate the blueberry. Why is it sour? I added some raw sugar just to make it palatable, but it still tasted like bad medicine. I thought it was expired, but no, that’s not it either. Maybe some other flavors will work?
I gave it two starts because I don’t think taking medicine would be any better.
strange texture, odd smell....
Nancy’s products are usually excellent, I tried the plain oatmilk yogurt because of the low
sugar content. The texture was nothing like yogurt at all. It was like a grainy solution, it had to be well stirred and still was close to liquid. It smelled odd. I mixed sweetener, raisins
and unsweetened chocolate which almost made it edible. I also think the addition of
fava/faba bean protein didn’t improve taste, texture or digestibility.
I’d suggest Nancy’s work on a reformulation and focus group taste testing…it’s a great
concept, but the execution is weak.
Best dairy free yogurt option I’ve found!
I have a lot of diet restrictions including nut, soy, gluten, dairy. I have tried and enjoyed coconut milk yogurt but haven’t found any that are a significant source of protein. These have it all! My first taste was of the blueberry version and like many others wondered if it had gone slightly off due to the sourness of it, but I enjoyed it enough to try the vanilla version which was even better. Not sure if less sour than blueberry or if it is just growing on me, but I loved it! Looking forward to trying the plain and hopefully expanding into my menu for smoothies, etc.
Delicious Low Calorie Low Carb Nutritious Treat
So I’ve been looking for a non dairy yogurt forever. All that ones that I’ve tried have been no bueno. Figured on a whim while shopping at Sprouts I’d give Nancy’s plain oatmilk a try. Absolutely now my new jam !!!
LOVE this product. I know there’s other flavors out there but I really like the plain. I added a little cinnamon and some almonds sooo delicious ! I only bought 1 due to my previous not so good luck with other over purchases but I’m headed back to sprouts to stock up !!! Thank you for putting something on the shelf that’s
Dairy Free
Soy Free
Gluten Free !!
Love this stuff ??
Vanilla and Plain
Great texture, for a probiotic , just add a sprinkle of cinnamon for taste. I pair this with gluten free apple waffles add fresh grapes.
Not good
Bought the Blueberry. To start with the positive, the texture is nice and it is not overly sweetened. The taste, however, is not good. I won’t buy again.
I like it
I bought the large container of vanilla flavor. I eat both dairy and plant based alternatives. I have found oat milk to be too sweet- but this oat-gurt has a nice hint of vanilla and oat. The texture may be too runny for some- its almost keifer consistency.
I wanted to like this, since I love Oatly...
But no. Ew. I got the plain. I guess it’s not so bad mixed in with other things, like on top of a taco – but I’d honestly rather go without any yogurt than have this.
