Sharon Gregory, the creator of Notcho Nocheez, took on a plant-based diet after a shocking cancer diagnosis. The transition was easier than she expected, but her love of cheese posed a challenge. When she couldn’t find a cheese alternative that satisfied, she decided to make her own.
Notcho Nocheez is a dippable spreadable, dairy-free cheese alternative that is made from raw almonds, red bell peppers, nutrtional yeast, and a few other natural ingredients. It reminds me of my nut cheese recipe in Go Dairy Free! But their version is packaged and ready for you to consume.

Additional Allergen Notes*
According to the company, Notcho Nocheez is made on shared equipment with dairy. (We do not know if they have a “may contain” on their packaging.) They do follow GMP (good manufacturing practices), but they do not have allergen testing in place. They do use third party analysis for gluten. As always, contact the company to discuss their processes if you are dealing with a severe or sensitive food allergy.

Delicious!
I found a jar of the hot version at my local market and loved it so much I immediately ordered the classic and tangy online. I love dipping apples, spreading on toast, adding to pasta sauce and dipping chips. As a dairy free person who misses cheese dip, I’d recommend!
Notcheese, not good
This tastes like whey mixed almond butter with bean dip and thinned it with water. There is no resemblance of cheese in this.
Definitely notcheez
This is more like a peanut butter spread and doesn’t even faintly taste like anything cheese.
Interested
But I worry about allergen testing. Will definitely look into this!
