OCHO Organic Candy Bars are Now Available in 2 Vegan Varieties

By Alisa Fleming on October 4, 2015 Dairy-Free Chocolate Reviews, Product Reviews

I always check the chocolate section for deals when we’re at Whole Foods, and this weekend I couldn’t resist the “just within budget” sale price on the OCHO organic candy bars.

Most of the OCHO organic candy bars contain dairy, but the Coconut and Peanut Butter varieties are certified vegan. My local store only had the Coconut variety, so I picked that one up to try. As you can see below, these bars are similar to a Mounds bar.  They have a tender sweet coconut filling enrobed in a relatively thick layer of dark chocolate. However, they have more depth of flavor.

Tony agreed. He raved about the quality, and said Mounds tastes like a corn syrupy corner store convenience compared to this bar.

OCHO Organic Candy Bars (Review) - One Certified Vegan & Gluten-Free Flavor: Coconut! Perfect for curing Mounds bar cravings without dairy or questionable ingredients.

OCHO Organic Candy Bars are Now Available in 2 Vegan Varieties

As mentioned, the vegan varieties of OCHO Organic Candy Bars are not only dairy-free and gluten-free, but also corn syrup-free! If you buy and try either of these vegan varieties, don’t hesitate to leave your own unbiased rating and review below!

We tried the Ocho Coconut Bar. The coconut filling is soft, chewy, and flavorful and not overly sugary, while the perfectly thick dark chocolate robe has just the right amount of bitter and sweet for a pleasant contrast.
