Don’t worry, Coconut Bliss Ice Cream isn’t completely gone, it’s just transformed! In 2020, a company called HumanCo bought a majority stake in Coconut Bliss, and in 2020, they rebranded. So Coconut Bliss is now Cosmic Bliss Plant-Based. We created a new post for this line since their are minor differences in the formula, packaging, and which flavors are still available.
This year, Coconut Bliss didn’t add any new flavors to their line up, but we won’t fault them since they already have such an expansive selection. However, they did undergo a big makeover on their look, so I decided to give our review and information post a big update with their new packaging. We’ve got full details on ingredients, nutrition, and more, plus you can now rate and review this product below if you’ve tried it!
Tasting Notes for Coconut Bliss
Although it’s popular for pure flavors and a very creamy consistency, it’s impossible to ignore the simple wholesome ingredients in Coconut Bliss. You can peruse them below, along with tasting notes on the flavors we’ve tried. If you’ve tried any of their flavors, don’t forget to leave your own rating and review below!

Chocolate Hazelnut Decadence
This flavor had a very intense cocoa flavor, much more so than other chocolate ice creams I have tried in the past. While the chocolate did “mask” the coconut flavor altogether, it was a bit too strong for my vanilla-loving palate, but I still had no problem in finishing my sizable serving off. A ribbon of fudge made its way through this flavor, also adding to the intense cocoa flavor, along with some very sizable nut chunks.

Mint Chip Galactica
Leah gave this variety a try:

Ginger Cookie + Caramel
Leah tried this flavor and only had good things to say about it!
It has vanilla base with big chunks of sweet spicy ginger cookie and is swirled with thick caramel. The creamy ice cream, spicy cookie chunks, and sweet caramel ribbons all work so well together. All together it’s such a pleasant and satisfying ice cream experience. The perfect balance of sweet and spice. And yes, they’re generous with the cookie chunks!
Ingredients: *coconut milk (water, *coconut, *guar gum), *agave syrup, *caramel (*coconut sugar, *coconut milk, water, pectin, *guar gum, salt), *gluten-free ginger cookies (*coconut sugar, *brown rice flour, *tapioca starch, *coconut oil, *white rice flour, *ginger, sea salt, xanthan gum, *cinnamon, *vanilla extract, baking soda, *clove), *coconut cream, *vanilla extract. *certified organic. Sweet Cherry Amaretto
This wouldn’t usually be the first flavor I reach for, but it’s incredible! The smooth cherry taste blends with just enough sweetener for a mature cherry-vanilla vibe, while the soft hints of luxurious coconut milk round out the overall flavor.

What Others Are Saying ...
THE BEST Vegan Ice Cream!!
This is the most creamy, heart, delicious, healthy and ethically produced vegan ice cream I’ve tried! I absolutely LOVE it! Can’t decide which is my favorite flavor, but I’m a vanilla lover, and a chocolate lover. I usually go for the Chocolate Walnut brownie, or the Chocolate hazelnut decadence. I didn’t know there was a Peruvian Mocha crunch! I think this is the winner for my next ice cream tasting! Simply DIVINE!
Coconut Bliss Coconut Almond in Chocolate bars
Any trace of coconut flavor that might remain in the ice cream center was completely overpowered by the bittersweet chocolate coating. There were enough fragments of pulverized almonds in the coating to induce coughing.
This is the perfect coconut product for people who hate coconut and don’t want to taste it, but think it’s a good idea to eat something made with it.
The Full Scoop
On par with mainstream premium ice cream brands, this is a super rich and creamy spoonful. My favorite is the Ginger Cookie + Caramel for the gooey caramel ribbon that bears a light kiss of salt, combined with the warmly spice cookie chunks strewn all throughout. These pints are all unabashedly coconut-forward, so if you’re not a fan of the tropical fruit, you may not be as thrilled, though.
One of my favorite brands
I love their ice cream because it is so rich and smooth! Every flavor I have tried has been delicious. I also love how easily it scoops straight out of the freezer.
Excellent, but pricey
I’ve tried many dairy free ice creams, and this may be the best. Excellent creamy texture. Great flavors. Love the hazelnut But, it’s quite expensive. Regular grocery stores usually have only a flavor or two, and while specialty grocery stores have more flavors, they’re even more expensive.
Yep, True Bliss
Thanks for reviewing my favorite, Elisa! I’m infatuated with the Chocolate Hazelnut Decadence, which is so aptly named. It’s luscious, nutty, and gorgeously chocolatey, with a hint of coconut flavor that reminds me of German chocolate cake. I also adore the Cherry Amaretto, a fabulously adult flavor that would serve as beautifully in a homemade ice cream sandwich or with almond biscotti as it does alone. Both are great in coffee too! I was sooo disappointed when Whole Foods stopped carrying the brand; now I have to make a special trip to Kings. It’s worth it, though. (Truthfully, I had to get the Cherry Amaretto out of state–but again: worth it!) No matter how good some other dairy-free ice creams might taste, I have no interest in desserts laden with all sorts of weird ingredients like corn syrup and multiple gums. Give me the good stuff! And oh boy is this it! I just wish I had access to more flavors!
So satisfying
Finally, a vegan ice cream brand that adds enough of the good stuff! They don’t short you on cookies and they get the flavors just right.
Purely blissful
Coconut Bliss is a pure grown-up luxury. It was so incredibly rich and creamy, that I would swear I was enjoying the most premium of dairy-based ice creams. And while it was of course sweet, it wasn’t overly so. Almost like stepping up from 50% bittersweet chocolate to 70%, this ice cream is definitely a dessert, yet it wasn’t candy-sweet. Rather, it was kissed with the perfect amount of agave nectar to allow your sweet tooth to feel satisfied while retaining the ability to really savor the other ingredients present.

There is now a resberry ice cream bar out that is delish!!
Well, I would like to see, just organic sugar. As stevia is not with out it’s problems. As in if you use it too much it can affect your liver. Belive me. My friend wanted to know why I did not like it. And she was so suprized that her liver= gual blatter hurting was the stevia she was useing. She stopped and pain went away.
Great product. Very yummy and great texture.
I love coconut bliss ice cream and I eat it a lot. I would eat even more of it if you had a version that is sweetened with stevia instead of agave syrup which is not much better than high fructose corn syrup.
