Perry’s Ice Cream was founded back in 1918 in Akron, NY, and is still run by the founding family to this day. It might have taken them a hundred years (literally!), but they’ve finally expanded beyond their core dairy line into the non-dairy market. Perry’s Oats Cream is a dairy-free and vegan brand of frozen dessert that has launched in several intriguing flavors.

Perry’s has partnered with another longtime New York dairy gone dairy-free, Elmhurst 1925, to source their primary ingredient. Elmhurst Milked Oats (aka “oat milk”) is the base for Perry’s Oats Cream, but it also contains a little coconut oil for richness.

I was out at the siloh in lewiston after doing the jet boat when I came across the blueberry pancake oat milk ice cream. I AM IN LOVE. BLUEBERRY PANCAKE! It wouldn’t have been my first choice of flavours even but now I can’t stop thinking about it. Compared to almondmilk and coconutmilk ice cream this was actually CREAMY and tasted like REAL ICE CREAM, with delicious sweet refreshing blueberry swirls and just a little maple sweetness. Not the knock off stuff I’m used to. I wish I could teleport myself back to Buffalo right now to get some more Perry’s. Please please please expand out of New York!
