POM Wonderful Juices and Teas (with Recipes)

    1
By Alisa Fleming on June 18, 2016 Dairy-Free Creamy Beverage Reviews, Product Reviews

Several of the POM Wonderful varieties we originally tried have been discontinued, but Pom Wonderful continues to make their classic 100% pomegranate juice, and a few delicious pomegranate juice blends. Below is some product information and some delicious dairy-free ways to enjoy them!

    How to Use Pomegranate Juice

Though juices and blends are almost always dairy free, Pom Wonderful provided intrigue that I couldn’t resist sharing. Those attractive hourglass bottles of pomegranate juice offer a sweet-tart punch that I enjoyed as is, and is positively delicious in smoothies. If you prefer apple juice over cranberry juice, look elsewhere, because pomegranate juice isn’t super sweet. Nonetheless, if you like a little contrast, it is definitely worth a try by the glass or in some dairy-free recipes:

    • Watermelon Raspberry Spinach Salad with Pomegranate Vinaigrette
    • Quinoa with Peppery Watercress, Pears, and Pomegranate
    • Perfectly Pomegranate Smoothie
    • Eskimo Kiss Spiced Pom-Apple Cider
    • Pomegranate Mocktail
    • Pomegranate Lemonade
    • Amazing Pom-Mango Smoothie

Mixing Things Up: POM Wonderful Juice Blends

POM Wonderful also makes several types of juice blends. I’m lumping their 100% juice combos, official “blends” and Super Teas all into this category. Any of these varieties will work in smoothies and other recipes, but are more drinkable on their own.

The 100% Pomegranate Juices include Pomegranate Cherry and Pomegranate Blueberry. That’s it, just pomegranate and berries. Although the Blueberry does contain natural flavors.

The refreshing Super Teas come in enticing pomegranate juice-spiked blends, including Peach Passion White Tea, Lemonade Tea, Sweet Tea, Honey Green Tea. I did get to try the Super Teas several years ago, however most of the flavors that I sampled have been discontinued. Of the current flavors, Tony and I both enjoyed the Peach Passion, which was a sweeter, milder tea with pleasant fruit notes.
