Publix Premium Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert goes Big with 3 Flavors

Publix is a well-loved Southeastern supermarket chain that carries all types of dairy alternatives. But in January, they extended their dairy-free reach with their own brand of non-dairy frozen dessert. Publix Premium Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert has an almond and coconut oil base, but each variety is blended with rich, natural ingredients for a pure infusion of flavor.

Publix Premium Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert Reviews and Info. Dairy-free, vegan, gluten-free ice cream sold exclusively at Publix stores in larger quart-sized tubs.

Publix Premium Frozen Dessert, Non-Dairy, SOOO GOOD!

    Rated 5 out of 5
    August 20, 2022

I enjoy eating a small bowl of ice cream every so often. However, as I’ve gotten older, I’ve developed an intolerance to dairy products. I’ve tried a brand, So Delicious, which is pretty good, depending upon which type of “milk” is used…coconut milk or cashew milk. To me the coconut makes it too sweet, but the cashew is more like real ice cream, and So Delicious is adding more and more to their line all the time. Last month, though, I found another brand…Publix Premium Frozen Dessert, Non-Dairy. I tried their strawberry flavor and boy am I glad I did. It had big chunks of strawberries in it and tasted like it was hand churned…so creamy and yummy! And the costs was reasonable too. It was $0.21/fl oz for the Publix brand (1 qt) vs $0.28/fl oz for the So Delicious brand (16 oz). They’re both really good and creamy, but you get more with the Publix brand for a less money. And the strawberry is very good! I haven’t tried the other flavors yet.

    Icy and Watery

Very disappointed in this dairy free ice cream from Publix because Publix is known for it’s phenomenal ice cream.

This ice cream was not creamy, instead it was icy and watery.

Come on Publix the world is turning vegan and you don’t want to be left out of the game.

You need a re-do on this ice cream.

Other brands are capturing it, you can too.

This went in the garbage. I love Publix and I love non dairy dessert, but from now on I will stick to almond, oat or cashew milk based desserts. This concoction is a sugary, syrupy mess. Blech. Never again.

I am an inveterate ice cream eater that went cold turkey due to my cholesterol. I would give up a lot to get a taste of anything ice cream. This stuff is really, really, really, really, really bad. Tastes like frozen corn starch.
