Radiant Energy Deliciously Delivered is quite a mouthful, so we’ll just call them R.E.D.D. Protein Bars for short. This plant-based fuel boasts high fiber, a good dose of protein, very low sugar, and gut-friendly ingredients. In fact, each bar contains prebiotics plus 1 billion CFU probiotics. They’re functional, shelf-stable, and even contain sneaky superfoods!

R.E.D.D. Protein Bars promise to Deliver Radiant Plant-Based Energy

R.E.D.D. has packed more powerhouse ingredients into a bar than I ever thought possible. From mushrooms to acai, and maca to quinoa, these energizing protein bars seemingly have it all. They also come in an array of flavors, which are all dairy-free, gluten-free, and vegan.

As mentioned above, these dairy-free protein bars are very low in sugar. Most of the flavors are sweetened solely with a little bit of dates and monk fruit extract. But the two newer flavors (Cinnamon Roll and Matcha Almond) use dates and allulose. Consequently, they have a different sweet profile.

If you purchase these bars, leave your rating and review below and tells us which flavor(s) you tried. It helps others make an informed purchasing decision.

    Unpleasant Taste

    Rated 3 out of 5
    April 13, 2021

After trying three different types of bars (oat, chocolate, and mint chocolate), I can confirm that these aren’t the best taste. I’m sure they’re very healthy, containing protein, probiotics, superfoods, etc.

Unsure how to describe this taste, but it kind of tastes like I’m eating mushy protein powder (not the tasty kind). So if you’re looking for something to boost your energy, but you’re fine with odd-tastes, this might be for you.

    Love the Salted Caramel

    Rated 4 out of 5
    April 21, 2020

The salted caramel variety is a real treat! It’s sweet and has a nice flavor that works with these chewy bars. They also have little white chocolate bits! The peanut butter was my second favorite – good taste, but the alternative sweeteners start to assert a touch. The oatmeal has a bitterness that was hard for me to get passed. The sweeteners in the chocolate linger a bit too much in the aftertaste, and the chocolate mint seemed like it was overcompensating for this with potent mint flavor. I’ll definitely be a repeat on the Salted Caramel and PB though – these are great for a functional, low sugar protein bar. They have a nice soft and chewy texture that’s fairly smooth (except for bits of nuts, chocolate, or oats added in) and seamless.
