Ripple Dairy-Free Ice Cream Makes Waves in Five Allergy-Friendly Flavors

    0
By Alisa Fleming on February 7, 2020 Dairy-Free Ice Cream Reviews, Product Reviews

While nearly every ice cream brand is emerging with leaner lines, Ripple is proudly pursuing indulgence with their new frozen dessert pints. Ripple Dairy-Free Ice Cream is launching in several rich, sweet, dairy-free, and vegan flavors, and the “taste and texture is comparable to traditional dairy ice cream.” But you be the judge! Once you try it, leave your rating and review below.

    Allergen Note*

Ripple isn’t big enough (yet!) to have their own dedicated manufacturing facility. And some of the manufacturing plants they work with do handle top allergen ingredients, and they do share production lines with some top allergen ingredients. However, Ripple does have an extensive allergen management program in place to protect their ingredients and production lines from potential allergen contamination. You can read more about their Allergen Program.

    Mint Chip Yum!

A pleasant surprise that the texture was smooth and dense. Tastes like real ice cream but could be a bit more minty for my taste. Definitely better than others I’ve tried that taste too nutty or sugary.

    Ripple Cookies and Creme

Hands down this is the best dairy free Cookies and Creme on the market. For the low price of $5 this will be a recurring item in my freezer. I am very pleased with this ice cream and I find it to be almost identically creamy to dairy based ice creams.

    Vanilla Ripple Ice Cream

    Rated 1 out of 5
    September 19, 2021

Where do I start— this ice cream gives a bad name to all things vegan. We were having a vegan ice cream taste test and this was unanimously voted the worst. The texture was like eating a sandcastle and left little clumps off grit behind on the spoon. The taste was hard to discern because of how offensive the rest of the ice cream was. The aftertaste honestly wasn’t bad, but by that time you were only concerned about washing the grit out of your mouth. Would absolutely not recommend this ice cream.

Nothing like ice cream. Better alternatives exist

This ice cream is likely the worst of the non dairy ice cream brands out there. Gritty texture, weird taste and aftertaste. My friends and I all actually agreed that this was not a good non dairy ice cream. Stick to SO delicious or another brand. This stuff just isn’t good.

I tried this Vanilla for the first time tonight and was very disappointed with the taste. It is like taking a bite of medicine, has a taste like cough medicine to me.
I know being plant based that taste and texture will not be like real ice cream but this is just not gonna be something I will purchase again

    Ripple Cookies & Creme

    June 22, 2021

This was actually disappointing for various reasons. Planet Oats Cookies & Cream and Alden’s Vegan Cookies & Cream are both far superior both in flavour and nutrition. Ripple did not use their delicious pea milk as the base ingredient in this vegan ice cream which is perplexing at best. I cannot recommend this. It tastes fine, however pales in comparison to the two vegan options I mentioned.
