Saffron Road Chicken Nuggets and Tenders

1

We’re big on appetizers for dinner, so Saffron Road Chicken Tenders were a must try in our home. They are made with antibiotic-free, vegetarian-fed chicken, and lightly breaded with a gluten-free, egg-free, dairy-free coating. The original Chicken Bites and Tenders that we tried were just sliced white breast meat – no fillers. The newer Saffron Road Chicken Nuggets are a more traditional “nugget” style.

Tasting Notes for Saffron Road Chicken Bites

The gluten-free coating on the nuggets and tenders is light and mild in flavor, but it helps to seal in the moisture and adds a pleasant coating. We liked the breading to chicken ratio in the nugget sizes better, but the tenders were also quite delicious.

This product line has changed a bit since we tried it. They discontinued their tandoori-seasoned chicken nuggets (which you can see in my photo). They’ve also transitioned their chicken bites into chicken nuggets. But the chicken tenders have remained the same. Be sure to leave your own rating and review below if you try any of them!

Good for a quick and wholesome appetizer

We liked the light breading on the gluten-free chicken bites, which stayed nice and tender on the inside. A little outside of my budget, but good for a quick and wholesome appetizer when those chicken strip cravings strike!
