The race to make the best dairy-free yogurt continues, and Siggi’s Plant-Based Yogurt is vying for the lead. A few years ago, they released their first ever vegan recipe. It has a thick, creamy formula with “3 times more protein and 40% less sugar than leading yogurt alternatives.” And it’s been so popular that they’ve since released five more flavors. Siggi’s now offer seven dairy-free yogurt flavors in single-serves and two in multi-serve tubs.
Siggi’s Plant-Based Yogurt Alternative is Now Sold in 9 Varieties
Siggi’s uses a proprietary blend of coconut, macadamia, and pea protein to maximize taste, consistency, and nutrition. Competitor brands typically contain around 15 grams of sugar and just 3 grams or so of protein. But Siggi’s dairy-free line stays lean with 4 to 9 grams of sugar and about 10 grams of protein. But how does it taste? We have the ingredients, purchasing information, and dozens of reviews below!

Best most nutritious
What I’ve seen waiting for. Just have a hard time finding it.
Better than regular yogurt
I am trying plant-based because of digestion issues. I have tried Different brands with way more sugar and found Ziggys to be not only less sugar but superior in
Taste
Tastes Weird
I had the mixed berries one. Idk if I got a bad one or there’s something wrong with my tastebuds, but I swear it tasted like the buffalo chicken you get from a deli counter.
Better yogurt
I was getting tired of how Chobani yogurt is getting thinner and thinner every time I buy it. I like the coconut flavor, so I decided to try Siggi’s . I liked it much better. It’s a little pricey and I only saw the small individual cups vs. the packages containing 4. I was in a smaller store when I bought the Siggi’s. Maybe in a larger chain store, I’ll find a variety of packaging. I definitely want to get it again! Thank you!
I agree, Nance and Kev.
I’m not a fan of the pea protein- I’d much rather add my own protein… nuts, maybe! But, it tastes pretty good! I just wish it didn’t have cane sugar, mystery natural flavors and pea protein.
I agree that this yogurt tastes good- I like the vanilla and the raspberry. I haven’t tried the new plain – I emailed the company asking what exactly are the natural flavors – I’m curious. I also don’t understand why any sugars are necessary. I really like Lavva- they do not use any sugar. Cocoyo is a bit too effervescent for me- and I can’t find Coyo to try. Culina is incredibly delicious- but very heavy. But really good! I like Siggi’s but because of the cane sugar and mystery natural flavors, I only eat it in a probiotic emergency when I can’t get Lavva or Culina.
Yummy yogurt
I cannot digest dairy well, but still looking for yogurt to enjoy.
By far the best! Not overly sweet but just the right amount of sweetness. Highly recommend!
I love all flavors....but....
This is the best plant-based yogurt I have ever tried. I just can’t figure out why you have to add cane sugar??? Aren’t you defeating the purpose of probiotics it contains??? Cane sugar FEEDS bad bacteria, so to me, your product just cancels out the probiotics and there is no further benefit in my mind to give your gut more good bacteria when eating this product. You use coconut milk! Why not use coconut sugar to sweeten it? Easy fix!
Response from Go Dairy Free
High sugar intake can negatively disrupt the microbiota balance, but the body doesn’t discriminate. All sugars, including coconut sugar, can have this effect. Compared to other flavored brands, this one is relatively low sugar. If you want low to no sugar, look for unsweetened varieties (this brand doesn’t have one) or brands that use alternative sweeteners, like stevia. Coyo and Cocoyo offer very low sugar options.
Dairy Allergy, Best yogurt alternative I've ever tried yet
I’ve tried them all. some are way too sweet and I feel like its eating candy for breakfast. This so far has been the best option for a quick on the go breakfast yogurt. I’d like to see a plain option with less sugar, but I’ve used the berries combo and vanilla flavors in almondmilk fruit smoothies before, with a little extra pea protein shake and frozen berries and mangos and a banana added in. It’s not the greatest smoothie in the world, but when your allergic to Dairy like me and don’t have a lot of great options it does the job.
It’s not my go to breakfast every morning or even every week, as the sugar is still a little high and something with the pea protein does stuff to my gut in the morning. But when fresh berries and eggs aren’t an option out of my fridge or I’m running a little behind in the morning this is my go to to make sure I have solid energy at the start of my day.
Siggi's Plant-Based Yogurt -- Love the taste and smooth texture!
Thank you so much for this product! I’ve been searching and searching for a dairy-free yogurt with great taste, low sugar, and smooth, thick texture. And I found it in Siggi’s Plant-Based Yogurt Alternative! Love all the flavors you provide, too!
Tastes like mayonnaise, simply awful
Not usually a review writer of the negative, but love to lend a hand to those making choices with their dollar in pursuit of vegan dairy free alternative yogurts. This was absolutely the worst tasting product I have ever purchased. I tried doctoring it with fruit, granola, bananas, nuts, et. I even tried to recreate it as a salad dressing, since that is what it basically tastes like – still, the awful flavor continued to permeate the taste. Really disappointed as I typically like Siggi products. Will stick with one of the other coconut non dairy products.
