The race to make the best dairy-free yogurt continues, and Siggi’s Plant-Based Yogurt is vying for the lead. A few years ago, they released their first ever vegan recipe. It has a thick, creamy formula with “3 times more protein and 40% less sugar than leading yogurt alternatives.” And it’s been so popular that they’ve since released five more flavors. Siggi’s now offer seven dairy-free yogurt flavors in single-serves and two in multi-serve tubs.
Siggi’s Plant-Based Yogurt Alternative is Now Sold in 9 Varieties
Siggi’s uses a proprietary blend of coconut, macadamia, and pea protein to maximize taste, consistency, and nutrition. Competitor brands typically contain around 15 grams of sugar and just 3 grams or so of protein. But Siggi’s dairy-free line stays lean with 4 to 9 grams of sugar and about 10 grams of protein. But how does it taste? We have the ingredients, purchasing information, and dozens of reviews below!

Amazing taste!
Best plant based yogurt ever! Mixed berry and Raspberry are my favorite. The vanilla and Mango are ok as I’m not fan of those flavors but still good if I run out of the berry flavors. Best part it is low on sugar so I can have few of them a day without worrying about the sugar overdose
Tastes [terrible]
I tried the raspberry. I love siggi’s greek yogurts (raspberry and coconut) so thought this would be a great combination. However the aftertaste is [horrible]. I usually try to finish new things, but I only managed to eat half the container before having to throw it away because the taste just got worse. I went here to look at reviews because maybe mine was off, but nope that’s what they were going for. I need something to rinse my mouth out now. Very disappointing, especially with how delicious their greek yogurt is.
Response from Go Dairy Free
Part of the graphic language in this review has been edited, the portions in brackets, due to the extremely unappealing commentary that none of us want to read while eating our breakfast.
Googled to see if it had gone bad
After my first taste, I immediately Googled for reviews because I assumed mine had gone bad. But looking at the other reviews, this surprising taste is what they were going for. The mixed berries was dreadful. I love plant-based yogurts, but this one needs to go back to the drawing table. I’ll try the vanilla next, but I’m not holding my breath.
Buffalo sauce?
The yogurt is incredibly tangy. It tastes very mouth puckering sour the first few bites. After a while, the flavor evolves into one that tastes exactly like a mild buffalo sauce.
Strong off-taste
I tried the Raspberry and Mixed Berries flavors, and both had a strong off-taste. Both use pea protein, and the off-taste resembled green peas that had been cooked … and then left to sit unrefrigerated in the pot for a few weeks. I was hoping for another high-protein nondairy option—in addition to Silk’s soy-based flavors—but this isn’t it.
