    Disappointing

Why discontinue such an amazing creamer! There are already so many creamers out there with sugar. This was the only creamer I not enjoyed because it had no sugar, but also because it was made with coconut milk. My coffe is not the same without it.

Why add sugar to a perfect product?

The unsweetened was perfect for those of us avoiding sugar. Why change it?

LOADED with sugar because sugar sells! They discontinued their best product, the red label coconut creamer with no sugar! They don’t care about your health. They just care about the bottom dollar.

Why did they mess with perfection?

I absolutely loved the old creamer, both the vanilla and the regular. It was the ONLY non-dairy creamer I liked, and I’ve tried them all. But now they’ve changed the formulation and the taste is horrible. I don’t understand why they would do such a thing when it was absolutely perfect before. Now it has more calories, added oil, and an awful taste. When I first bought it, I thought I bought a bad carton and threw it out-the taste was so off. But the second carton was the same way. Ugh. I guess it’s black coffee for me now.

It was great the way it was, now it’s sweet and doesn’t taste as clean. Would like the old unsweetened one back.

This new flavor is garbage. They added a bunch of unnecessary ingredients. Why would you change something that didn’t need to be changed.

The new(ugh) sweet and creamy creamer is “so bad” that I dumped it down the drain. A total waste of money- it wasn’t broke- why did someone think it was?? #justlostacustomer

    Coconut vanilla creamer

    January 27, 2023

This stuff tastes horrible! I have bought this product for years due to a dairy allergy. Even though my body has become tolerant to dairy creamers, I have stayed with this creamer because I loved this product as it was. You could taste a touch of coconut and vanilla in it and it was oh so good! In the new creamer-as of January 2023- the ingredients must have changed because the higher-calorie (30) creamer tastes almost like it has soy or something weird in it. It drowns out any flavor that may be present and I no longer enjoy my coffee. Not a fan and won’t buy it again unless they fix this problem. Please, PLEASE, go back to the other recipe!!!

Gritty texture and bad container design and materials

This creamer, ( purchased 6/2/22 in MA, USA ) WAS GRITTY. a very fine grit, sort of like the grit which is left after sanding wood with a very fine sandpaper. Called the company (FYI, it’s actually now Danone, since they purchased White Wave which had earlier purchased the SOdelicious company.) No explanation given by them, except they said it shouldn’t be gritty.

WILL BE TRYING THIS STUFF. I WOULD NOT GO TO ANY HEALTH FOOD STORE TO GET THESE PRODUCTS. FIRST LOOK IN YOUR LOCAL MARKETS, AND IF WORSE GETS TO WORSE, THEN I’D LOOK IN THE HEALTH FOOD STORES. HEALTH FOOD STORES ARE KNOWN FOR BEING OVERPRICED, SOMETIMES 21/2 TO 3 TIMES MORE THAN MARKETS/SUPER STORES. FOR THE VERY SAME ITEMS, JUST SO YOU CAN SAY “I BOUGHT IT AT A HEALTH FOOD STORE”?

I discovered these creamers when I was nursing my milk protein allergic son. He is now 2 and I stopped nursing nearly a year ago, and I have never gone back to half & half. I love the flavor of the original but the french vanilla is too sweet for my taste. I stock up on the bigger shelf stable “barista” boxes when I can find them. I don’t think I will ever go back to regular cream.

I have tried the hazelnut creamer. It is sweet but that is the way that I like my coffee. However, I liked it better when I added it to a cup of hot chocolate. Very yummy.

    4. ellen beck on August 14, 2014 6:00 pm

I have trriedd these and thought they were quite good- then too, I like y coffee sweet and although they arent the ‘rrichest’ creamers tey had a nice taste and my coffee was great. I agree, it would be a very light creamer if you tried cooking with it.

has anyone ever experienced any reactions when drinking the french vanilla creamee?

      • Tehachapi John on January 19, 2015 8:58 am

I don’t know what if you’re talking about your own physical reactions, but it appears that they have changed their formula for the French Vanilla creamer for the worse. It used to take very little to produce a satisfying color, taste and texture in my coffee. Lately the effect is decidedly like pouring milk that has gone bad into my coffee. The product seems watered down and, after stirring it in, little specs of white float on the top just like curdled milk. Gross! I don’t know what they did, but I have called them and left a message. Hopefully they will call back. Has anyone else had this experience?

        • Abby on February 4, 2015 5:16 am

I am having this same experience! Not even a month ago I loved the French vanilla creamer but all of a sudden it acts curdled! I have read that so delicious was bought by some major corporation and I’m wondering if that’s the problem. Have you tried the regular? I’m going to try it with my own sweetner and see if that helps. Very disappointed.

          • Abby on February 4, 2015 5:55 am

Whitewave bought out So Delicious late last year. I contacted them too so hopefully I’ll hear back soon.

            • Alisa Fleming on February 4, 2015 7:27 am

They did, but it’s a wholly owned subsidiary – still the same people running the show, same ingredients, and same So Delicious.

            • Abby on February 4, 2015 9:34 am

I received an email back from So Delicious stating…
“We have been working on new recipes for our coconut milk coffee creamers so they will be titanium dioxide free and carrageenan free. We are in a bit of an awkward transition phase right now and are still working on the recipe. Fans asked for simpler ingredients and we are responding. Our first step has been to remove titanium dioxide, which is what you are noticing now. The only ingredient whitening our coconut milk coffee creamers is even more organic coconut milk. You may notice that our creamer doesn’t whiten your coffee the way it has in the past. Be careful not to over pour and use the same amount you have before. This may be somewhat confusing because it still says titanium dioxide on the packaging.” And so on. So it seems it’ll be different but hopefully they fix the problem eventually.

Can you use these creamers as a substitute for heavy cream in recipes?

      • Alisa Fleming on November 20, 2012 7:55 am

I would consider it more of a light cream substitute, but it would depend on the recipe in terms of how it would work out. Some heavy cream recipes work just fine with a light cream.
