A couple years ago, So Delicious reformulated their coconut milk yogurt to remove the carrageenan. The new recipe had some textural issues, but it seems they have smoothed things out. So today I’m updating our post with their most recent packaging, ingredients, nutrition facts, flavors, and more. This is our reader-rich format, so that you can get all of the information you need and leave your own rating and review below!
Tasting Notes for So Delicious Dairy Free Coconut Milk Yogurt
I love the packaging of this yogurt – even the single serves. They stack easily and have a lower profile for shorter shelves and drawers in the refrigerator, and the “eco-friendly” tops can be closed easily – if you don’t rip it when opening (which does happen!).
For me, this is a good staple dairy alternative. I’ve been buying the plain unsweetened So Delicious coconut milk yogurt for many years. It works well in sweet and savory recipes, is allergy-friendly (for recipe testing), and it takes well to sweeteners. I prefer just adding a little of my own sweetener to taste, as most yogurts contain more sugar than my stomach can handle in the morning. Some brands of unsweetened dairy-free yogurt really don’t meld well when sweetened at home, but this one is seamless whether I use stevia or honey. But please do leave your own review below! It helps others make an informed purchasing decision.

Watery!
The texture of this yogurt is really, really thin. Like white, slightly sour water. It definitely needs a thickener.
So Delicious dairy free coconut milk yogurt
Delicious dairy free coconut milk yogurt in strawberry – I just tried this yogurt and I opened it up and it looks like it curdled small balls in there and top looks rough. When I mixed it up it went a bit smoother – I tried it it didn’t taste bad but is this normal. It’s still has two weeks to go to expire so it’s still good. Just had a hard time eating since it looked curdled.
Tried this last week !
This is the best tasting yogurt! So freaking delighted to find a dairy free alternative!! Thank goodness!!
5 Stars!!! Awesome Product!!!
I enjoy this yogurt so much!
The texture is creamy, the fruit and flavor is fresh, and the coconut milk is delicious.
An Awesome alternative to dairy products. I highly recommend this brand.
Absolutely vile!
This is not a review for the coconut milk yogurt. There is no place to leave product reviews for any So Delicious yogurts, so I this is it.
I just had the very unfortuate pleasure of trying the “So Delicious, Dairy Free Choc and Cacoa Nibs” with “nutmilk” dairy alternative. It was the most disgusting vile thing I have ever tasted. I even tried a dew more spoonfuls just in case, and it just continued to be revolting.
I was hesitant with this in the first place because it was a nut milk – and they are generally pretty awful. I need to have at least 4 shots of coffee in order to hide the flavour. But I presumed because this was choc flavoured with nibs then the taste would be disguised enough to still taste alright. Unfortunately, this is not the case. The chocolate could not even be tasted, the resulting flavour was basically sour milk. That’s all it tasted like – not even the usual awful taste of nutmilk, but sour dairy milk. Let alone the texture was rather gelatine like.
I just can’t believe that something like this is even on sale anywhere – how did it possibly pass consumer trials?
I would seriously give this a zero stars. It makes me extremely hesitant to ever try any “So Delicious” yogurt or product ever again.
Response from Go Dairy Free
It looks like the nutmilk yogurt is available exclusively in Australia. We don’t have more information on it to be able to share.
BEST YOGURT IVE HAD
I was diagnosed with Gastritis and EOE so I had to change my diet to dairy free(amongst other things) and discovered the coconut milk is the best for you. I tried this yogurt and was blown away. The texture is insanely creamy with no clumps whatsoever. The taste is insanely good, and I put my granola with it…. Works well with my digestive system so I will continue eating it.
Tastes ok, it’s really clumpy
Texture wise, in every single one I’ve gotten, it’s terrible. Other coconut yogurts are smooth, So delicious is always clumpy. It tastes ok but the clumpy texture is not appetizing. Always the vanilla, always well before the expiration date.
Tastes good and great for acid reflux
Tried the raspberry coconut milk yogurt and it’s delicious. I have acid reflux and can’t eat a lot of things but raspberries and coconut are things I can have!
blueberry
I love this yogurt I was eating it about everyday then my store doesn’t handle it anymore I like the strawberry and blueberry best it helped me a lot with my stomach problems I can tell how much now that I cant find it
Yummy!
I love this yogurt. I feel like it is a healthier option and it tastes delicious! My absolute favorite flavors are the raspberry and blueberry! I have tried to eat Greek yogurt but I just do not like the bitter after taste. I’m sticking with this one!

Seems all these comments are older, but I’d like to leave my update. I’ve been getting this (unsweetened and the sweetened vanilla) when I can find them as they tend to sell out quickly. I love the silky texture mouth feel. I bring a small tub of it to work each day (I scoop out from a large one at home) and when at work add my self-blended granola. Great pick me up for “brunch” hour at work. I’ve never had an issue with a change in texture. I had unsweetened plain yogurt last week because I couldn’t find this – and boy – the difference turned me against yogurt! lol The coconut milk “yogurt” is light and blends well as a “carrier”for my granola. The real yogurt was heavy and had the yogurt tang to it that seemed to fight the flavors of my granola.
Thanks for sharing your review Terry! Helpful insights and aI agree with you – it’s still a staple dairy-free yogurt for me, especially the unsweetened.
Just tried your wonderful coconut blueberry yogurt! And as I was savoring, an ad came to me (and THAT never happens). As I am wearing an outfit that perfectly matched your blueberry flavor, I imagined a person, dressed
as I am, pleasurably spooning mouthfuls of the treat in her/his mouth, when a drop finds its way onto their shirt (close up). No voice over, just words that say something like:
“It so perfectly matches you.
So Delicious coconut yogurt.
should the chocolate version be curdled?, it doesn’t look like the plain or vanilla?
You stirred it and it’s curdled? If so, I would contact the company about it!
My husband is on dialysis and cannot have dairy, so this may be the thing for him. I need to know if this contains any phosphorous.
You’ll want to check http://sodeliciousdairyfree.com/ for that information.
I am trying to consume Cold pressed organic unrefined coconut oil in foods. Desired daily dosage 3 Tbs per day. I do not find the amount of coconut oil in the coconut products per serving. Can you inform me about the yogurt, milk, unsweetened frozen dessert? Thanks!
I have no clue Tanis! I wouldn’t imagine that it is much at all. But you should contact the company directly to find out -> http://sodeliciousdairyfree.com/ I’m not affiliated with them.
Tastes okay, but it smells funny, as if it was spoiled. Very offputting
Yikes! It might have been then. This can happen with yogurt. Did you contact the company Miss Kiki?
I find that this product is still ‘too commercial for a dairy alternative” It is difficult to make coconut yogurt taste like dairy yogurt and why would you, is my question… If you’ve ever tasted Anita’s Yogurt, you would see that with coconut yogurt made with only 3 natural organic l ingredients, the texture will vary and that’s ok.. To try to make the texture consistent with a dairy process is unnatural. What is more, adding vanilla flavor is adding MSG. Adding any Natural flavors is adding MSG. So-Delicious you can do better.
That looks like a great product. Thanks for sharing Nancy!
So many of these yogurts contain inulin which I can’t seem to digest. Did they remove the inulin from their formula as well?
I don’t see inulin in the ingredients for these. They have all ingredients listed with each product here -> http://sodeliciousdairyfree.com/product_groups/dairy-free-yogurt-alternatives
