Updated in 2021! Like many other dairy-free cheese alternatives, the So Delicious Dairy-Free Shreds formula has changed a bit in its short life. They cut out the pea protein and made a few other minor tweaks. They’ve also changed up the packaging! So I’ve updated this post with all of the latest information on ingredients, availability, and more, and have added the latest product images.
So Delicious Dairy-Free Shreds are Making Many People Say Cheese
We initially tried this cheese alternative not long after it was first released. We had a smattering atop a big plate of nachos, and it wasn’t perfect, but it was pleasurable. I haven’t tried it since the minor reformulation, but I know many of you have. Be sure to leave your rating and review below once you’ve bought and tried it!

The Cheddar is bombbbbb
I love this cheese. I am not a vegan cheese eater because I usually think they taste gross, but I love this one. It tastes like cheese does. I highly recommend the cheddar.
Best as a mix in ingredient
My kids sense an aftertaste with this product, but the cheddar jack fine shreds are GREAT in garlic cheddar biscuits or anything where a finer shred is preferred, like salads.
Great for pizza!
They’re called So Delicious for a reason! They melt well and taste fantastic!
Love the cheddar!
The cheddar shreds make amazing nachos! Some vegan cheese tastes funny melted, but this one tastes great.
Decent option, but won't buy again
It’s tasty cold, and melts great, but therein lies the problem. As soon as it melts, it seems to lose all that cheesy flavor. Might as well save yourself the money and just add extra salt. I’d choose Daiya cheese over this because the only things I typically use a cheese substitute for are enchiladas, nachos, paninis, and Mac & Cheese.
Not even close as good as Daiya.
Has a nasty aftertaste.
The Cheddar was ok
As far as non dairy cheese shreds go the cheddar one was decent. I haven’t been able to find them since, I only seem to find Daiya or Go Veggie and both are not good. I’d love to try the other flavors of So Delicious
