You might already know about their shreds and newer slices, but So Delicious has another cheesy surprise. They’ve created a dairy-free line of cream cheese alternatives that’s ready to spread in two popular varieties: Creamy Original and Chive & Onion. The official launch of So Delicious Plant-Based Cream Cheese is March 2021, but it might appear in stores sooner! We’ll be ready with our dairy-free two ingredient bagels to try it out!

The coconut oil base might look familiar, since many other cream cheese alternatives are similar. But unlike the others, So Delicious Plant-Based Cream Cheese is made without legumes of any kind (no soy, pea, or other bean proteins). It’s also carrageenan-free, and has a relatively short ingredient list.

    Too Dry to be Cream

    Rated 2 out of 5
    March 19, 2022

I like the taste for a vegan alternative but this “cream” is so dry and crackly that you can hardly spread it. If this is normal, they missed the mark.

Tastes fine, good alternative but nothing outstanding. I like it better than Kite Hill for sure. I would like it to be creamier and have more of a “punch” like real cream cheese.

They completely missed the mark with the “CREAM” cheese part. This cheese is not creamy and tastes strange.
