Sunrise Super Squeezies Dairy-Free Pudding Tubes (DISCONTINUED)

By Sarah Hatfield on April 10, 2014 Discontinued Products, Product Reviews

Sunrise did discontinue their Super Squeezies Dairy-Free Pudding Tubes, and dairy-free squeeze tubes are hard to come by. But we do have a post on Dairy-Free Yogurt Tubes & Pouches and we have a section for Dairy-Free Pudding & Mousse Reviews.

We recently had the chance to try Sunrise Super Squeezies by Sunrise Soya Foods. It is so exciting to have a dairy-free “pudding tube” substitute for lunchboxes, snacks, and desserts! But these are even better than the typical yogurt or pudding tube dessert because they are full of Omega 3-DHA and are gluten free, peanut free, and preservative free.

Sunrise Super Squeezies Dairy-Free Pudding Tubes

The Super Squeezies come in eight-pack boxes, each with a mix of two flavors: four Chocolate Fudge Squeezies and four Strawberry Banana Squeezies. They are a rich, but low fat blend of non-GMO soy and omega-rich oils. It is recommended that you eat them chilled, refrigerated or frozen, but they are also perfect to freeze and then toss into a lunchbox to stay cold till lunchtime.

The Chocolate Fudge Squeezies were our favorite of the two flavors. When frozen they taste like a fabulous fudge popsicle. When refrigerated, the Chocolate Fudge Squeezies taste like rich, chocolatey pudding. We liked them best refrigerated. It is always a treat to find a great-tasting, portable, dairy-free dessert.

We also enjoyed the Strawberry Banana Squeezies, but they weren’t nearly as big of a hit as the chocolate. Although the Squeezies resemble yogurt in terms of packaging style and the product’s texture, they lack the tang of yogurt – nudging them into that pudding category. This is most noticeable in the Strawberry Banana Squeezies. They have a very sweet (almost too sweet), fruity flavor, almost like a fruit-flavored pudding. Because of their sweetness and simple flavor, we preferred the Strawberry Banana Squeezies frozen.

Sunrise Super Squeezies are widely available in Canada and are making their way across the eastern United States. I cannot wait to be able to add Sunrise Super Squeezies to our regular shopping list!

Dietary Notes: By ingredients, Sunrise Super Squeezies are dairy-free / non-dairy, egg-free, gluten-free, peanut-free, tree nut-free, vegan, and vegetarian. Nonetheless, check with the company on their manufacturing processes for all varieties if potential allergen cross-contamination is an issue for you. Processes and labeling are subject to change at any time for any company / product.

I don’t know if they are in the U.S. right now – some distribution issues last I heard – see their website for info and to contact them.
