The Raw Bakery Cacao Brownies

Now sold by Blue Mountain Organics, The Raw Bakery Cacao Brownies come in a few chocolaty varieties.

We sampled the Cacao Walnut Brownie, which came wrapped in a beautiful yet simple package. It seemed perfect for an elegant gift basket. However, I believe the formula has changed a bit since we first trialed them. Ours were rich with three types of nuts (almonds, hazelnuts and walnuts) for a marzipan-like vibe. But the ingredient list online now shows just walnuts, dates, agave, cacao and flax. Nonetheless, I’m pretty sure the overall experience is still much the same. They combine high quality organic dates with just enough cacao powder to create a relatively smooth, fudgy brownie that is part snack bar, part dessert-worthy treat.

The Raw Bakery Cacao Brownies Review - Vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and soy-free

The Raw Bakery Cacao Brownies come in a couple other varieties that we’ve yet to enjoy. We did trial the carob versions, but unfortunately, it looks like those were discontinued.

These have the classic raw brownie ingredients of cacao and dates with a touch of agave to brighten, and flaxseed to enrich. They’re a little indulgent and fudgy, but also have somewhat of a snack bar appeal.
