The only other comparison I have to the TJ’s vegan cream cheese is the simple truth dairy free cream cheese from Kroger. The trader joe’s one beats the Kroger one by far. The Kroger one I had was disgusting. This one tastes delicious and although its slightly more firm I still found it spreadable. Don’t let these other reviews deter you. Truly the ingredients are decent enough, it’s very fairly priced and well worth a try in my opinion.

how can anyone eat this? it is so hard it is difficult to get the product out of the container, let alone mix it into something, I don’t know what set of kitchen tools one would have to have to make this “stone” cheese work.

I used it for vegan sushi and it was perfect.
On a bagel it kind of “melted” like the other vegan cream cheeses I have tried but tasted good.
Definitely needs to be “mashed” a bit to improve spreadability. Texture is similar to a Philadelphia block cream cheese.
This cc has the best flavor of the few I have tried (old TJ’s and Miyoko’s).

I have not bought a container that was not hard as a brick. I use it to cook in recipes and it doesn’t hold up. It melts and becomes water, nothing like the old cream cheese. No more vegan cheesecake, artichoke dip or cream cheese frosting! I am now searching for a different alternative that will stand up to the old recipe.

I had to wipe the cream cheese out of my mouth it was so bad. The previous recipe was the best vegan cream cheese on the market. BRING IT BACK!

Love everything but the texture

The flavor is the best I’ve tasted on the vegan cream cheese market to date. but this texture is horrendous. not at all spreadable , even when left out to warm up on the counter. i even attempted to melt it on the stove to make a creamy sauce on my veggies but it mostly evaporated or left Lil chunks . still tastes good as hell but it’s a shame it can’t actually be used like cream cheese :'(

Absolutely disgusting. Does not spread and congealed on a warm bagel. Sticks to the roof of your mouth in the most unpleasant way. Get yourself some Kite Hill cream cheese, it’s pricier but has the same qualities of the OG tj cream cheese.
