Have you heard of Wayfare Foods yet? If you’re dairy free, this is a brand to know. They’re unique product line covers all of the bases, including vegan cheeses that rival Velveeta (with much better ingredients!), luscious dairy-free pudding, and these savory dips. Wayfare Creamy Dips come in all the classic flavors but their ingredients are anything but typical. They’re made with the company’s proprietary blend of butter beans and oats, and are vegan-friendly and made without top allergens. They look spot on with just the right pure colors and consistencies. And thus far, we’ve been impressed with the taste, too!
2019 Update: Wayfare has updated their packaging. See the product images next to the ingredients and nutrition facts for the current look of Wayfare Creamy Dips. The formulas are still the same.
Tasting Notes for Wayfare Creamy Dips
Wayfare Creamy Dips are surprisingly low in calories (about 30 to 35 per 2 tablespoons), have 0 grams of sugar, and only 1 to 3 grams of carbohydrates. I’m not sure, but these might even be keto-friendly. Yet they are in fact creamy and full of flavor.
French Onion
I simply loved this dip. The onions added just the right amount of richness and a warm flavor that seemed to pair with everything. We enjoyed it straight up as a dip, but I also used it to make chickpea salad and several other quick and easy lunches. And the average-sized tub actually contains quite a bit. It lasted us through several snacks and meals.

Ranch (pictured below)
Again, the people at Wayfare know their flavors. This really does have all the right notes of ranch. And it has such a wonderfully smooth mouth feel. I like the versatility, but was also tempted to whisk in just a little mayo to provide more depth to the taste and consistency. No loss though, as it made the dip go even further for snacks and as a dressing for salads.

Bleu Cheese (DISCONTINUED)
Tony (a former blue cheese fan) said they really nailed the blue cheese flavor. The dip was bold, but the consistency was surprisingly light and creamy. Although he liked the taste, Tony wanted a little more body and richness. He whisked in a little mayo, which helped add balance and depth. I’m really not a blue cheese fan, which is why I let him take the lead on feedback.

The French onion is a winner
I really liked the bold flavor in the French onion dip. The Ranch needed a little more body in my opinion, and my husband wasn’t really a fan of either flavor. He really liked the blue cheese dip, which they discontinued!
amazing
just had the butter on a piece of apple bread and the taste and consistency is great. I also bought the cream cheese and will give that a try on a bagel… The price is affordable too. much better than most of the similar products. being a senior on a limited budget, that is fantastic! Thank You for a great product.

I tried the French onion and it was disgusting. You need to improve it.
You’ll need to contact Wayfare directly Lisa. This is an unbiased review – we aren’t affiliated with them.
The French Onion sounds incredible to me. I will be on the lookout for this brand now!
I won’t be trying, because there is yeast extract, which is a form of monosodium glutamate.
One of my closest friends daughters just developed a milk allergy and I need to get this for our next party! Such a tasty option to have when hosting because there is always going to be someone in a crowd who can’t do dairy.
I’m so sorry to hear about her allergy! Hopefully this dip brightens the day for her and is enjoyed by all.
Thanks for sharing about these dips! They look so creamy and delicious. Looking forward to trying them out.
Happy to help!
I am liking the sound of this Wayfare brand and appreciate your review! I’ll have to check them out. All of these flavors sound absolutely amazing. I don’t know which one I want to try first 🙂
I vote French onion 🙂
There are just soooo many amazing options these days! It’s amazing how far things have come in the last 15 years. Exciting!
Seriously, it amazes me that 15 years ago I was staring at one brand of soymilk on the far corner top shelf at a supermarket. Nothing else for dairy-free. Crazy!
