Wildway Grain-Free Granola Keeps it Real with Seven Paleo Flavors

For those of us who have cravings on the sweet side in the morning, but don’t want to start our day off with added sugars or heavy grains, there is Wildway Grain-Free Granola.

Fruit is the first ingredient in Wildway Grain-Free Granola, making for a naturally sweet energizer. This granola has a gentle chewy bite against a very hearty backdrop of nuts, seeds and spices. Overall, I must admit, it’s even heftier than your average granola – just 1/2 cup packs in a wallop of nutrients. Yes, it’s relatively high in calories, nutty fats, and fruit sugars – but it’s also high in plant-based protein. Overall, it’s a pretty well-rounded kick-start for an on-the-go day! It also makes a good snack to reach for during that afternoon hunger slump.

Wildway Grain-Free Granola - A sweet, chewy, nutty melange of flavors that just works! Nutrient-dense, paleo, vegan and no added sugars.

At Expo West a few years ago, I sampled the Banana Nut flavor of Wildway Grain-Free Granola, which remains my favorite flavor. Something about those wonderful dried, tender bites just won me over. But they sent me home with a sample bag of the Coconut Cashew (pictured here). It was still quite a delicious earthy combination. Today, those varieties are still available, but they now have several more to flavors to choose from.

This isn’t really breakfast for me, but more like a hearty snack. I love that it has naturally sweet, chewy chunks of dried fruit. The nuts, spices, and salt balance out the nutrition and flavor nicely. My favorite so far is the Banana Nut, but I’ve only tried a few flavors.

Coconut Cashew! This is really is wonderful. Surprisingly, I am never tempted to “overdose” on it because a little goes a long ways. 12 g of fat to 6 g of sugar in 1/4 cu. For me that 1/4 cu. is really more than enough because it’s very sweet-tasting and a good mix of crunch and soft. It’s good to have on hand, even though most of my hiking days are in the past.
