I trialed hemp milk with this easy spiced blueberry banana juice recipe from the Complete Idiot’s Guide to Juicing. It worked great!
Special Diet Notes: Spiced Blueberry Banana Juice
By ingredients, this recipe is dairy-free / non-dairy, egg-free, gluten-free, grain-free, optionally nut-free, peanut-free, optionally soy-free, vegan, plant-based, and vegetarian.
- 1½ cups blueberries
- 2 pears
- 2 bananas
- 1 cup plain dairy-free milk beverage
- 2 pear wedges for garnish (optional)
- Rinse blueberries. Rinse pears and cut into quarters. Peel and slice bananas. Push blueberries and pears through the juicer, and process until juiced. Pour juice into a blender and add bananas and milk. Blend for 30 seconds, and pour juice into two glasses. Serve immediately, garnished with pear wedges if desired.
- Variation: To pulp (blend) this recipe in a blender or food processor fitted with a steel blade, core pears and cut all ingredients into pieces no larger than 1 inch. Add bananas and milk along with other ingredients.
