Green Smoothies that are Plant Powered with 5 Fruits and Vegetables

    0
By Alisa Fleming on October 11, 2020 Beverages, Dairy-Free Recipes

This produce-packed, dairy-free green smoothie is made with an adult- and kid-friendly blend of bananas, pineapple, spinach, grapes, and cucumber. It’s also enriched with dairy-free yogurt, which makes this creamy beverage a digestive health powerhouse. Probiotics in the yogurt work synergistically with the naturally-occurring prebiotics and enzymes in the fruits and vegetables. I don’t know about you, but my stomach can use a little extra help as the holidays set in.

This Green Smoothie is Plant Powered with 5 Fruits and Vegetables

Not surprisingly, this dairy-free green smoothie recipe was created by the chefs at Dole. After all, they know their way around fruits and vegetables.

The folks at Dole call this a Slippery Slimy Smoothie, drawing fun inspiration from Disney and Pixar’s Monsters, Inc. You can certainly serve this dairy-free green smoothie in skull mason jars or creepy goblets for a fun Halloween green slime effect. But it also makes a great any day drink.

If you use an unsweetened dairy-free yogurt and you want a little more sweetness, you can add honey or stevia drops, to taste. Both work well with this creamy blend.
