After years of new recipe testing, more research, and a full redesign, the 2nd Edition of Go Dairy Free: The Guide and Cookbook is finally shipping. Today is the official launch! It has 160 new and improved recipes (250 recipes in total), massively expanded dairy alternative sections, and more lifestyle and kitchen tips than you can imagine. This is a huge collection of my dedication over the years, and I just know you are going to love it!
Most people celebrate with cupcakes and streamers. But we were craving allergen-free jelly beans.
This isn’t just a pretty makeover. Although I do think the new design is fabulous with a cleaner layout, normalized font size, and cool cover. This 2nd Edition is a title that even current Go Dairy Free book owners will want. It has thousands of helpful tidbits, more health information, and a phenomenal new guide to milk beverages and creamers that will inspire you in the kitchen. I guarantee that you will learn several new things, whether you’ve just started the dairy-free diet or are a seasoned veteran.
And just a few of the new recipes include:
- Coconut Crème Fraiche (plus a sour cream version)
- Everyday Sweetened Condensed Coconut Milk (one of the 3 recipe options for this sub)
- Bakeable Butter (yes, even in vegan cookies!)
- Cottage-Style Cheeze (revolutionary for recipes)
- Sliceable Sandwich Cheeze (we couldn’t stop nibbling)
- Chocolate Frostee (think Wendy’s only better and healthier)
- Vanilla Mylkshake (you won’t believe the pure creamy flavor)
- Baked French Toast Sticks (easy to make, fun to eat)
- Eggs Benedict with Blender Hollandaise Sauce (with a vegan version of course!)
- Bakery-Style Blueberry Muffins (we’re talking serious domes)
- Flaky French Croissants (a true labor of love)
- Iced Lemon Loaf (what Starbucks should be baking)
- 4-Ingredient Baking Powder Biscuits (with gluten-free option)
- Jammin’ Grain Bars (fresh Nutrigrain-like bars)
- Garlic & Herb Baby Cheezes (cute and oh-so-snackable)
- Super Spinach & Artichoke Dip (Popeye would approve)
- Healthy Condensed Cream of Chicken Soup (every recipe is vegan optional, even this one!)
- White Cheeseless Pizza (so creamy, it doesn’t need cheese)
- Homemade Cheeze Tortellini (from scratch bliss)
- Spaghetti X’s & O’s (a new favorite in our “big kid” house)
- Tofu Saag Paneer (just one of the internationally-inspired meals)
- Mashed Potatoes & Miso-Mushroom Gravy (comfort food with a delicious twist)
- Creamy Poblano Baked Risotto (once you go baked, you’ll never go back)
- Enchanted Bars (these really are magical)
- Chocolate and Vanilla Mug Cakes (with single-serve frosting recipes)
- Mini Berry Cheezecakes (a delicious infusion with flavor variations)
- Crazy for Coconut Cream Pie (made special for my father but loved by all)
- Snickerdoodle Cashew Ice Cream (get out the elastic waistbands for this decadence)
- Mango-Orange Sherbet Bars (one of my favorite new recipes)
- Homemade Mylk Chocolate (along with other homemade “chocolates”)
There is also a full allergy index right at the beginning of the recipe section for those of you with dietary needs beyond dairy free. It includes gluten-free, nut-free, peanut-free, and soy-free. Every recipe has a fully-tested option for egg-free and plant-based!

Aw, thank you Stephanie!
Whoo hoo! CONGRATULATIONS! I loved this book ever since I reviewed the first edition on my blog (in 2009!!!)–and it’s become a much-used resource since then! I love all the general information about every aspect of dairy-free living–SO helpful. Plus the amazing recipes (and *love* the fact that I can trust your recipes to work as described–always so reliable). I’ve made variations on those PB truffles dozens of times and the popcorn is a long-time fave of my hubby’s. So excited to get my paws on this new edition!
Wow Ricki, I’m simply floored by your kind words. Thank you SO much and I hope you enjoy the 2nd edition even more!
