Need a high-protein, dairy-free milk alternative? Silk Protein Milk Alternative just might be your new Holy Grail. It combines the creaminess of almondmilk and cashewmilk with the thickening power of pea protein. The result is a rich beverage that eclipses 2% milk with a whopping 10 grams of protein per serving. And just look at how creamy it is!
Silk Protein Milks the Benefits for Almond, Pea, and Cashew
Because it’s so thick, I found Silk Protein Milk Beverages to be a bit heavy for straight up sipping. But it works beautifully in smoothies, hot cereal, and baked goods. The consistency adds body, and in my opinion, a very pleasant flavor. It’s more neutral than nutty, but has a pleasant sweetness, despite being so low in sugars. But you be the judge! Leave your own rating and review below – it helps others make an informed purchasing decision.
The main issue we had with Silk Protein Milk was it can get just a touch “gloppy” after resting in the refrigerator. I think the protein must cause some thickening. Just make sure to give it a very good shake before pouring.
And please note that their packaging has been updated since I took the pictures in this post. It currently looks like the images below. But the formula has remained the same.

Opening problemes
Love your Milk , but I have a Hard time opening the cap , maybe you could make it bigger for better grabbing
Great in smoothies! Kids love the chocolate one!
Great in smoothies and my kids love the chocolate one.
Love the protein nut milk!!
I try drinking the milk with coffee a few months ago, now I dont drink coffee if I dont have that milk taste great and the nutrition is great!! Only problem is that they stop selling it at stop and shop so I went to target and for the last two days they have not have the milk no one does!
Response from Go Dairy Free
I hate it when that happens! They seem to be having stocking issues with a lot of their products lately, but it isn’t discontinued.
Taste is pleasantly sweet without excessive sugar
For ingredients, nutrition, and flavor, this milk beverage gets an easy 5 stars. The taste is pleasantly sweet without excessive sugars or funny sweeteners. It also fills a big void for nutritive milk alternatives, packing in 10 grams of protein and 8 grams of fat per serving. The overall consistency is quite rich, but almost too thick and a little heavy for regular sipping.

Was able to sample this product through Crowdtap #gotitfree.. Was another great product from silk that I will buy. I purchased the Vanilla one and it was really good.
I also sampled the Silk protein nutmilk from Crowdtap in the Sugar flavor. I really enjoyed it. I use it now in my fruit smoothies in the morning. It is very creamy and taste like an actual milk product. I highly recommend it.
I absolutely love this stuff!! I am totally addicted. I put some raw oatmeal, dash cinnamon, dash of nutmeg, generous amount of silk and plain nonfat greek yogurt whipped in ,some raisins, pumpkin seeds and walnuts, and stevia. shake well. i use the plain to keep my sugar low. Leave it in the refrigerator overnight and my goodness is this the most delicious, nutritious breakfast imaginable. It’s a powerhouse of nutrients. I use a quartsize container. My picky 17 year old fastfioodie loves it
Awesome stuff.
I have been searching high and low for a plant based creamer in replacement of my half and half. I have tried almost everything on the market, but they tasted disgusting! I finally found something that is creamy and good in my coffee! So happy with this product and it tastes great drinking it straight up too.
That’s so great to know that it works well in coffee – thanks for sharing Ahsan!
Wow, that does look super thick! I have a very picky palette and do not drink any plant-based milks just for the sake of drinking them. I don’t think anything tastes good except for my homemade almond milk, but I, DO, however love using homemade cashew milk and coconut milk in recipes. This looks like it would be just fabulous in baked goods or creamy sauces!
It has been pretty darn good in baked goods thus far. I still haven’t tried in sauces yet.
Sometimes I can’t decide between almond milk or cashew milk, so I love that they’ve combined them!
Silk brand just keeps getting better and better! Love it!
This is one of my new favorite products! I use it every morning and make our oatmeal with it along with smoothies. Silk hit it out of the park with this one! I have no issues with the consistency, I shake it though so that probably helps. But it’s perfect either way in things!
You are right this would be great in smoothies and baking! I love that the added protein too! This was a great read!
This hasn’t made it to the stores here yet but I like the sound of it so will be on the look out for when it does. It sound alike it would be awesome in smoothies and sweet sauces.
Hi , I just picked some up at State Brothers. I’m not sure if thata have that around you but I love this. I have a milk allergy and finally found a great alternative.
So Delicious Protein Almond Milk use to be a staple in our fridge until they got rid of it. The small shelf stable ones aren’t the same. I can’t wait to give this one a try. Recently we’ve been drinking Ripple for a protein milk in our house, the girls love it!
oh I haven’t seen this yet, but it’s basically how I start my green smoothie…protein powder a little almond milk 🙂 Love that they keep improving
Yep, an even bigger protein base now. I’m thinking post-workout chocolate milk for this one 🙂
This would be perfect for adding to smoothies! I can also see the plain working great in creamy sauces. I’ll have to check this out!
Yes! The plain does have a hint of sweetness, but it may work well in sauces where that little touch works well – like a creamy tomato.
This looks like a great boost to your regular ol’ almond milk! We’ve got nut allergies in our house so we have to stick to soy for now, but fingers crossed my little one will test out of his allergies! I’ll keep my eyes open for this!
I haven’t seen these before. Very cool blend and I like that they add pea protein for an added boost. Will be on the lookout!
We have used almond milk for many years- I’d love to try this one!
What an exciting surprise! This is the first I had heard of a new offering from Silk, and since their cashew milk is my current favorite, I really must hunt this down.
Ah yes, if you like their cashew milk, then I think you will like this one Hannah. The cashew really comes through in it.
I haven’t seen this yet, but I love nut milk and the added protein is great! I’ll have to look for it!
Wow! I’ve never seen these!! I’m definitely looking forward to them making it to Alaska’s stores. I bet they would make a super creamy/frothy latte…. mmm… 😉
Yes, it’s definitely nice and creamy, and it seems to froth up well. I’ll have to test it in a hot beverage just to be sure!
Such a great beverage to get in an extra healthy boost in the morning!
Agreed! It’s nice to have such a good protein balance in smoothies without having to add protein powder, too!
Oh nice! My one problem with nut milks is that they have so little protein. I’m going to look for this!
I know. It’s so funny how nuts are a good source of protein, except in nut milk! This does fill in the gap for sure.
