It all started as a local food product sold at a Vancouver farmer’s market just five years ago. Today, Spread’Em Kitchen Cashew Soft Cheeze is enjoying distribution across Canada in seven different flavors. (We’re hoping they make it to the U.S. soon too!)
Each variety of this rich vegan spread is fermented for a cheesier flavor and probiotic nutrition. They’re also made with whole food ingredients, and thus suitable for all types of dietary needs, beyond just dairy free.
Spread’Em Kitchen Cashew Soft Cheeze is Cultured in Several Savory Flavors
Spread’Em Kitchen doesn’t offer a simple “plain,” but instead they have unique meal-making options with bold global ingredients. You can use them as a spread, dip, or you can warm them to create dairy-free cheese sauce alternatives.

Rotten, moldy, bacteria infested dip/spread
Product had a long best before date of 14 AL 24. I only recently purchased and opened this container (January 15th ish) and had I not been paying attention today, I would have eaten rotten, moldy, bacteria infested dip/spread. I eat this every day, yesterday included, and it sickens me to think it was already bad and the risk I put myself at as I have a compromised immune system…to Laura who wrote in below, THIS IS NOT OXIDATION and IT’S NOT SAFE TO EAT!!! Today I submitted photos; receipt and a letter to the company and have yet to hear back from them. I’m disgusted and will be sharing this info with many people, especially if they come back at me with a poor excuse of “oxidation”…
Bitter, unpleasant
First time buying ( the cilantro dip). It’s within the expiration date but the second time I opened it I found dark spots throughout. I contacted customer service to ask if this is usual or normal and safe to eat. I was told it was likely oxidation. I wanted it clarified that it was indeed safe to eat, but they seemed resistant to telling me it is safe, instead I was instructed to try it and see! Well, it’s bitter and I’m not willing to risk my health because they won’t give me an answer. I do not recommend this product. $10 down the drain!
It is good but it's not cheese
I got the smoked flavor…it tastes like a sundried tomato hummus with a creamier texture. It tastes pretty good but..it’s not cheese at all imo which is not a big deal but I think hummus products are cheaper.
To die for…..
Hands down this will change the cream cheese industry….I have NO desire to go back to dairy for my cream cheese and plan to use this as a spread for all kinds of dishes.
Pretty darn yummy
I tried the Chives and Garlic. Not impressed when I tried it right out of the fridge, but when it warmed up to room temperature, WOW. I had it as a dip with raw veggies, great for a snack at work.
I did repurchase it!
