Updated for 2023! Over the years I’ve learned that it’s never too early to update this list of dairy-free advent calendars. I actually begin updating it in September, when the first options pop up. And I finalize it just after Halloween, since some companies don’t officially release their advent calendars until November 1st. And this year, I have dozens of options in North America, Europe and Australia to share with you.
The information below includes a variety of vegan and non-dairy advent calendars, plus highly-rated refillable and non-food advent calendars. I’ve even updated the pictures to this year’s advent calendars specifically. But the joy of the countdown starts December 1st, and some companies do run out, so I suggest you check out this list and order soon. You can jump ahead to each section with these links:
Availability: Some of these dairy-free advent calendars won’t be available until November 1st, the day after Halloween. We’re updating a little early this year because most companies sell out quickly! You might spot an accidentally dairy-free generic advent calendar on the cheap at your local stores, so look around! These are the brands you can count on with many special options that go well beyond the dollar store varieties.
Allergen Notes: All items listed below are dairy-free by ingredients. Almost all are gluten-free, too. But ingredients are subject to change at any time, and all products are at some degree of risk for allergen cross contamination, whether they have a “may contain” statement or not. Always read the label before consuming any food, and make sure you are familiar with this may contain information. If you are concerned about potential cross contamination of an allergen, always contact the company to discuss their ingredient sourcing and allergen protocols before purchasing. Only you can decide what is safe for your needs.
Disclosure: This post contains some affiliate links to retailers that we buy from, too. We might receive a commission if you make purchases through these links. These commissions do not direct our content, but do help to support the maintenance of our site. We appreciate your support!

New to our list, this dairy-free calendar features 24 cute little drawers that open up to reveal either Vegan Mylk Chocolate or Vegan dark chocolate treats for the season.

Their cute dairy-free advent calendars are filled with 24 different “milkless” chocolate shapes. As always, No Whey Chocolate runs a facility that is free of dairy, eggs, gluten, nuts, and soy. Their holiday truffle flavors range from classics like Gingerbread and Peppermint to more sophisticated flavors, like Spiced Orange and Walnut Sage. Gnosis seasonal products are only available to order online.
Happi Advent Calendar
Availability: UK
This oatmilk chocolatier has created a plastic-free advent calendar, complete with dairy-free, gluten-free, and soy-free treats made from single-origin Colombian cocoa. And this year, it contains their three best-selling flavors: Plain M!lk, Orange, and Salted Caramel.
Plamil So free Organic Dairy-Free Advent Calendars
Availability: US, Europe & Australia; Available on Amazon
This chocolatier doesn’t mess around. Their selection of organic, fair trade, dairy-free advent calendars includes their newer oat milk chocolate, low sugar oat milk chocolate, white chocolate, and salted caramel chocolate. Please note that all used to be made with a rice “milk” base, but they are shifting to an oat “milk” base for many of their chocolates. For this year, the white chocolate and salted caramel chocolate dairy-free advent calendars are still made with rice milk. All are still made in Plamil’s dairy-free, gluten-free, and nut-free factory, and are even soy-free by ingredients. These calendars are most readily available in the UK, Europe, and Australia, but can be ordered online worldwide.
Moo Free Organic Free-From Advent Calendars
Availability: US & UK; on Amazon & on Amazon UK
How many advent calendars can claim that they are “multi award winning”? Well this one can! This is another organic, milky chocolate-filled gem out of the UK, but they also offer white chocolate dairy-free advent calendars. They didn’t bring back the organic calendar this year. But everything that Moo Free makes is dairy-free, and their advent calendars are vegan, made with fair trade ingredients, and free of gluten. They’re even made without nuts and soy, but soy and hazelnuts are present in the Moo Free facility. Moo Free products are available online and distributed throughout Europe, Australia, and even in North America.
Monty Bojangles Vegan Truffles Advent Calendars
Availability: US & UK; available on Amazon
This curiously moreish calendar is filled with vegan cocoa dusted truffles in three flavors: cocoa nib nights, berry blush, and caramel haze.
Divine Dark Chocolate Advent Calendars
Availability: US & UK; available on Amazon
They do make dairy milk chocolate advent calendars, but Divine’s dark chocolate version is made without dairy. In fact, it’s Vegan Society Certified. These are available in the U.K. and U.S., and have even been spotted at World Market in the states.
Montezuma’s Organic Dairy-Free & Vegan Advent Calendars
Availability: UK; available on Amazon UK
This chocolatier thinks no one should be left out. They make dairy chocolate, but also have an organic vegan dark chocolate advent calendar. However, it looks like their pure 100% cacao “black” advent calendar and vegan “like no udder” milk chocolate alternative advent calendar will not be returning this year. Montezuma delivers throughout the UK and Europe.
Hotel Chocolat Dark Chocolate & Nutmilk Chocolate Advent Calendars
Availability: UK
Hotel Chocolat does produce milk chocolates, too, but they also make a few dairy-free advent calendars that are “suitable for vegans”. The rich little figurines include reindeer, snowmen, penguins and enchanted Christmas trees and come in classic dark cacao boxes. They used to make a 100% cacao advent calendar with zero added sugar, but it doesn’t seem to be back this year. But they have added a cute “up to snow good” dairy-free nutmilk chocolate calendar, in addition to an “unbelievably vegan” nutmilk chocolate calendar and a vegan dark chocolate calendar. Unfortunately, Hotel Chocolat shuttered their U.S. operations in 2022, but they are still available in the U.K.
NOMO Advent Calendars
Availability: UK; available on Amazon UK
NOMO (aka No Missing Out) has a cheerful new Santa advent calendar with 24 creamy dairy-free, gluten-free, egg-free, and nut-free chocolate drops. Unfortunately, they didn’t bring back their dairy-free advent calendars with caramel and sea salt chocolates or gooey caramels. But we’re still happy to see this milky chocolate option. Plus, it’s available for a pretty good price at Holland & Barrett stores, some other U.K. shops, and online.
Cocoa Libre Advent Calendars
Availability: Europe
This U.K. chocolatier also leapt onto our list in recent years with their pretty Santa and reindeer themed calendar. It’s filled with rice milk chocolate shapes that fit the box theme, and all are free of gluten, dairy, nuts, and peanuts. The box is also labeled as vegan and suitable for coeliacs, but their chocolate does contain soya lecithin. They usually sell in select stores, like Holland & Barrett, and on their website.
Goodio Advent Calendar
Availability: US & Europe
You’ll discover an assortment of chocolate flavors behind each window, and each one is vegan, organic, gluten-free, and soy-free. And this year, they have three different designs and assortments to choose from. They’re made in Finland, but they have a U.S. online store, too.
H!P Oatmilk Chocolate Calendar
Availability: UK
This hip U.K. oatmilk chocolatier has brought their vegan advent calendar back for another season, but this year, it has a new look. However, it still includes four flavors of dairy-free oatmilk chocolate squares, including creamy original, gingerbread, salted caramel, and white chocolate.
Weibler Dark Chocolate Advent Calendar
Availability: US & Europe
This “accidentally vegan” advent calendar boasts pretty little German chocolates that just happen to be made without milk ingredients. It’s primarily sold in Europe, but it seems to return each year to World Market in the U.S.
Pip & Nut Nut Butter Cup Advent Calendar
Availability: UK
An advent calendar filled with 24 dairy-free chocolate peanut butter and almond butter cups? I’ll take two! This appears to be a small brand that’s exclusive to the United Kingdom and primarily sold online.
Luisa’s Artisan Vegan Advent Calendar
Availability: UK
If you’re ready to indulge on this year’s advent calendar, this could be one to consider. Each of the 24 windows contains a hand-crafted, bean-to-bar chocolate. It includes a range of high quality flavors, including white raspberry, pistachio praline, and gingerbread casholate.
Marks & Spencer Made Without Advent Calendar

Haribo Candy Advent Calendar
Availability: US & Europe; available on Amazon
Most advent calendars are filled with chocolate, but this is a great candy option by a German gummy maker. Some Haribo candies contain wheat, and many are not vegan. Nonetheless, they do appear to be dairy free.
Harry Potter Jelly Belly Advent Calendar
Availability: US; available on Amazon
Jelly bellies and Harry Potter – need I say more? We’ve also spotted these dairy-free advent calendars at World Market.
Pukka Tea Advent Calendar
Availability: US; available on Amazon and on Amazon UK

Bonne Maman Preserves Advent Calendar
Availability: US & Europe; available on Amazon
The kids might not get excited about this calendar (or maybe they will?) but I think adults will love it. It includes a new fruit spread or honey to enjoy each day. I found it at World Market in the US.
Jo & Seph’s Vegan Popcorn Advent Calendar
Availability: UK; available on Amazon UK
This UK popcorn company does use dairy, but this particular collection is dairy-free and certified vegan. It’s a giant storybook filled with festive flavors, like Vegan Salted Caramel and Vegan Toffee Apple & Cinnamon.
Candy Kittens Advent Calendar
Availability: US & UK; available on Amazon and on Amazon UK
This sweet calendar goes big the day before Christmas. Everyday you’ll be treated to two or three vegan gummies, but day 24 contains a full sized bag of their cute and fruity candies.

Lego comes up with a few different themes for their advent calendars, and this year they have Marvel, Star Wars, Harry Potter, City, and Friends themes. Each one includes 24 mini-figures, models and accessories to reveal and play with throughout the month!
The Body Shop Advent Calendars
This year, they have released not one, not two, but three advent calendars! You can go modest or luxe, based on your pampering desires. Their staff confirmed that no milk/dairy ingredients are used in any of these products. However, these collections aren’t strictly vegan. All of their products are vegetarian, and most are vegan, but they sometimes use honey or royal jelly in a few of their products.
Melissa & Doug Magnetic Wooden Advent Calendars
Melissa & Doug have their own playful advent calendars, complete with 24 unique wooden ornaments and a tree-topping star. Their toys are typically sustainably made and decorated with water-based, non-toxic paints.
Disney Storybook Advent Calendars
For the kids that like to read, Disney has these advent calendars with 24 storybooks to unwrap. Each year they release a couple new collections. This year is a Classic Storybook collection and a Disney Princess version.
Little People Advent Calendar
I can’t believe “People” toys are still around. They weren’t known as “little” people when I was a kid, and now they have even more detail. This is adorable fun for any little one. But you might be surprised by the size. The little people are housed in a rather big calendar.
Playmobil
Not to be outdone, Playmobil offers multiple toy advent calendars, including Christmas Toy Store, Santa’s Workshop, Christmas Baking, and so much more. And for educational purposes, they also have a Nativity Scene advent calendar.

You can fill these reusable advent calendars each year with little treats, like Cocomels, Ocho Minis, Enjoy Life Minis, or YumEarth Candies. Or you can opt for little non-food gifts that will be equally fun to discover. All of the following are available in the US. We have linked up directly to purchase.

Purdy’s in Canada offers vegan chocolate advent calendars
We were going to add it Rachel, but Purdy’s completely removed it from their website. Hopefully it’s still in stores in Canada! We’ll keep this one on our radar for next year. Thank you!
The Bonne Maman preserves calendar as available last year at my Costco (Ontario, Canada)
It was a big hit with young and old.
Thanks for sharing this Susan! I bet it’s a good price at Costco, too.
So many great options this year! I have the Holland & Barrett (Xmas Tree) one and my colleague has their tea calendar – such a cute idea!
Thank you SO! Much ❤
Of course – happy to help!
Hello! Just went to purchase the Divine Dark Chocolate one on world market, and it says in the product info that it contains milk. Just thought you might like to know!
Hi Grace, I noticed that it says that on the World Market website too. Either it’s an error in writing or an error in the product they are representing. Divine has one with milk and one without. The Dark Chocolate one is vegan (but always verify that the manufacturing processes are okay for your needs) -> http://shop.divinechocolateusa.com/Dark-Chocolate-Advent-Calendar/p/DIV-004180&c=DivineChocolate@Christmas – I hope that helps!
Thank you for this post! I went to school this morning and was told that my daughter needed an advent calendar tomorrow to participate in the school countdown, with no advanced notice. Your list saved me and I was able to get one from Amanda’s Own. Thanks again!
Yay, Happy I could help Jereann!
How do I purchase one of these ? I live in Ontario
Hi Patti, I’ve included links to each one above. Some will be available in Canada and some won’t. For example, Amanda’s Chocolate & No Whey both ship to Canada.
So many great options!! I usually make ones for the girls and put a mix of different things activities, small trinkets, candy, a new Christmas book to add to the family collection, ect. Last year was kind of a fail so I wish I would have thought of some of these to fall back on.
It sounds like a fun adventure 🙂
Thank you for the updated list! I was just looking at your old one today! Another dairy free option is this adorable one online – my mom gave it to my children as a gif t, and we all enjoy it! https://www.jacquielawson.com/advent
Thanks Julie!
OH MY GOODNESS this is an incredible resource! I have several friends I am sharing this with, and many people I will be gifting these to… 🙂 🙂
Yay! (pats self on back for updating the list this year with plenty of time for people to actually get the advent calendars!)
My son is all about the lego calendar but I love all these DF options!
I’m with your son! Though I still have painful nightmares about stepping on legos as a kid 🙂
There are so many to choose from! This year, I think we will be getting the Lego one. Thanks for so many ideas!
Woohoo – they have a few different Lego ones!
