Cold Stone Creamery Mixes Vegam Ice Cream into their Menu

    2
By Alisa Fleming on January 19, 2023 Dining Out, Suggested Restaurants, U.S. Restaurants

Updated January 2023! Sorbet is great, but we’re excited to announce that Cold Stone Creamery has introduced their first dairy-free ice cream flavor. They’ve partnered with Danone to release Silk Chocolate Almondmilk Frozen Dessert at their stores nationwide. This creamy vegan flavor can be mixed with your choice of dairy-free additions, or you can avoid tough decisions and simply order their Don’t Cry Over Spilled Silk Creation. We have full details below on all of the dairy-free menu options, along with top allergen and vegan notes.

Since their ice cream creations are mixed to order, there is extra risk for potential cross-contamination with the dairy ice creams at Cold Stone Creamery. But a representative said their staff is trained for handling allergy requests. Be aware of special order requirements in parentheses () next to the menu items, and see the Heads Up notes to help fill in the blanks. Please note that this guide is for the U.S. locations. Options may vary in other countries.

Other Allergen & Dietary Notes: If you have an allergy, always let a crew member know and they can offer to get clean spades (mixing utensils) and either clean off a space on the stone really well or mix the ice cream in a separate container or on a clean cookie sheet. If requested, fresh containers of the mix-ins you order can be opened. All items listed below are made without egg, peanut, tree nuts, soy, and wheat unless otherwise noted in the name or parentheses. The options without wheat appear to be gluten-free, but verify in store. All items are also vegan, unless otherwise noted.

Delicious but hesistate to try again

Tried their new “Don’t cry over spilled milk” and I’ve gotta say it waa absolutely delicious, and heavenly. Everything in this is said to be dairy and gluten free, so to my surprise I ended up with a stomach ache, some bloating that I’ve felt before when eating dairy and or gluten. I have only tried this once buta tempted to try again and see if in fact it is a problem for me.
