What Others Are Saying ...
Incredibly Accomadating!
Funnily enough, my family and I ate at a Pita Pit in Starkville, Mississippi just a day after this post came out about the restaurant – without us having seen it on GoDairyFree first! We weren’t sure what to expect despite looking at their menu online first, but what we found was great service, great food and an all-around terrific experience. The employees accommodated our dairy allergy by cleaning the grill thoroughly, bringing boxes from the back so we could check ingredients, and even put the customers that came in behind us on hold until our food was done! They also had fresh, unused vegetables they offered to use in place of what was out, to avoid cross-contamination, and had clearly labeled dairy-free, gluten-free or vegan/vegetarian sauces and pita components. My sister, whose has the worst (and most immediate) reactions of our family when exposed to dairy, had zero symptoms of a reaction following our meal. Though every location is different, we all loved Starkville’s Pita Pit and cannot wait to go back! I highly recommend checking them out!
