Uno Pizzeria & Grill Serves Dairy-Free Pizzas, Burgers, and Chicken

Last Update in February 2023! Uno Pizzeria & Grill has been top rated by our friends at Allergy Eats for years, and for good reason. They offer not only allergen information, but also detailed ingredients on their website in the Nutrition information and on request. Customers frequently report their well-trained management of allergen orders, too. And believe it or not, they have dairy-free and vegan pizzas, right on the menu! We first reported on Uno’s over a decade ago, but now we’re giving this post a big update with all current options.

Uno Pizzeria & Grill - Dairy-Free Menu Guide with Vegan Options and Allergen Information

Dairy-Free Menu Guide to Uno Pizzeria & Grill

Uno Pizzeria & Grill actually has quite a few dairy-free menu items, plus some customizable options. There allergen information is dated, so our details are based off of allergen and ingredient information, customer service, and their current menu. As always, speak with your server to verify your dairy-free options. In our guide below, be aware of special order requirements in parentheses () next to the menu items, and see the Heads Up notes to help fill in the blanks.

Butter Note: Uno Pizzeria uses a “phase” for cooking, which is dairy-free butter alternative.

Fryer Note: We assume that Uno Pizzeria uses a shared fryer. Speak with your server before ordering any fried food if you are concerned about potential cross contamination of allergens in the fryer. They use a vegetable oil for frying.

Other Allergen & Dietary Notes: For vegan options, see the Vegan Menu Guide at the bottom of this post.

    Appetizers

    • Boneless Chicken Bites (no ranch or blue cheese dip, dairy-free sauce; see Heads Up below)
    • Chicken Wings (no ranch or blue cheese dip, dairy-free sauce; see Heads Up below)
    • Guacamole Chips & Dip (also vegan; select locations)

Special Order: According to the ingredients and Uno’s customer service, the Chicken Wings and Chicken Bites are made without milk themselves. Ask your server which dairy-free sauces they have available. As mentioned above, speak with the staff about shared fryers if you are concerned about potential cross contamination with allergens.

    Soups

Heads Up! You can ask about the Soup of the Day. Their main menu options contain dairy. The French Onion soup does contain dairy in the soup base, so it is not dairy free, even without the cheese.

    Salads

    • Berry Salad (no goat cheese)
    • Chopped Honey Crisp Chicken Salad (no cheese)
    • Chopped Honey Grilled Chicken Salad (no cheese)
    • Cobb Salad (no cheese, sub dairy-free dressing)
    • Gluten Sensitive Garden Starter Salad
    • House Salad (no cheese, no croutons)
    • Italian Chopped Salad (no cheese, no pepperoni – see note below)

Dairy-Free Dressing Options: Balsamic Vinaigrette (vegan), Honey Mustard, Low Fat Honey Vinaigrette, Low Fat Vinaigrette (vegan).

Heads Up! The croutons at Uno Pizzeria do contain dairy. The Pepperoni contains lactic acid starter culture, which can be dairy. We have not received a response on this froom Uno’s, so check with the server if interested in ordering.

    Pizza

    • Vegan Garden Pizza (it’s cheeseless)
    • Vegan Cheese Pizza (comes with Daiya cheese alternative)
    • Vegan Cheeseburger Deep Dish Pizza (comes with Daiya cheese alternative and Beyond Beef)

Dairy-Free Pizza Crusts: Classic Pizza Dough (for Deep Dish and Thin Crust)

Dairy-Free Pizza Sauces: House Tomato Sauce, Uno’s BBQ Sauce

Dairy-Free Meat Toppings: Anchovies, Bacon, Chicken, Honey  Ham, Hamburger, Sausage (plain, not Italian)

Dairy-Free Vegetable Toppings: Banana Peppers, Black Olives, Broccoli, Caramelized Onions, Eggplant, Green Peppers, Jalapenos, Mushrooms, Onions, Pineapple, Red Onion, Roasted Vegetables, Spinach, Summer Squash, Tomatoes, Zucchini Squash

Heads Up! The Cauliflower Pizza Crust, Gluten Sensitive Pizza Crust, Alfredo Sauce, Basil Pesto Sauce, Sweet Red Chili Sauce, Italian Sausage, and Meatballs contain milk. The Pepperoni contains lactic acid starter culture, which can be dairy. Verify with your server if interested in ordering. The Nashville Hot Sauce might also be dairy-free – we are inquiring on the natural flavors.

    Pasta

Heads Up! All of their pastas contain milk, but you can build your own pasta with their Marinara / House Tomato Sauce and dairy-free meats and vegetables. See the pizza toppings above for options. The Meatballs at Uno’s do contain milk.

    Entrees

    • Fish & Chips
    • Chicken Tenders with French Fries
    • Grilled Shrimp & Sirloin
    • Lemon Basil Salmon
    • Top Sirloin Steak

Heads Up! The Sirloin Beef Tips are cooked with a couple types of dairy. The Mediterranean Chicken can be ordered dairy-free – speak with your server. The Tuscan Chimichurri Cap Steak might be a dairy-free option, but we have not received a straight answer from the company.

    Burgers & Sandwiches

    • 1/2 lb. Burger
    • 1/2 lb. Gluten Sensitive Burger (comes on an Udi’s Bun)
    • Bacon Burger (no cheese)

    Sides

    • French Fries
    • Roasted Seasonal Vegetables
    • Steamed Broccoli
    • Sweet Potato Fries

Heads Up! Their House Made Bread contains dairy. The “phase” that they use as a butter alternative is dairy-free, but contains soy oil.

    • Chicken Tenders
    • Make Your Own Pizza (with Daiya cheese – see dairy-free options above)
    • Spaghetti (no cheese, no meatball)

    Dessert

Heads Up! Sorry, at the time of review, all desserts at Uno Pizzeria contain dairy!

There is always a risk for potential cross-contamination of allergens in any commercial kitchen. If cross-contamination is an issue for you, always speak with the manager to ensure that your meal can be safely prepared. Listings here do not guarantee that a restaurant is safe enough for your individual needs. Only you can make that decision.

Each location of a chain restaurant has different management and staff, and some might have different owners. This means differences in processes, ingredients used, menu options, and food sourcing can occur. Always verify the safety of your order for your needs at your current location.
