Last month we held a Larabar Real Food Giveaway sponsored by Larabar, and asked you what the best Larabar flavor is. Some of you voted with your comments here, many of you on Instagram and Facebook. We gathered all of the votes, and picked a winner for the giveaway. Then we removed any duplicate comments, cross-platform, and tallied them up!

Our Top Picks for the Best Larabar Flavors
Tony and I jumped on the bar craze very early. We spent our weekends hiking or skiing, depending on the season, and loved recharging with a sweet reward at the summit. But Larabars were a game changer. These pure unsweetened fruit and nut bars were so simple, so real, and so surprisingly delicious that they would become our staple bar brand since the very first day we spotted them at a small grocer back in 2003.
With just 2 to 9 ingredients, I love that Larabar Originals are not only wholesome, tasty, dairy-free, and gluten-free, but also easy to find and well within budget. That said, whenever they’re on sale, Tony and I are like kids in a candy store, picking out an assortment of flavors. But certain varieties make it into our cart every single time. And in our opinion, these are the best Larabar flavors.
Best Larabar for Fitness
Something about peanut butter just fits with physical activity for me. The flavor has depth, but mellowness, so it suits pre- and post-workout taste buds nicely. And in a Larabar, sustaining peanuts are combined with energizing dates for a snack that keeps me going. I do enjoy the Peanut Butter Cookie before and during active pursuits, too. It contains just peanuts, dates, and sea salt! But the Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip is my top pick. After all, who can say no to added chocolate?
Best Larabar for Breakfast
Tony has a sweet tooth, especially in the morning. He would have trouble resisting just about any treat if put in front of him. Luckily, Larabar is Food Made From Food, nothing else. And if I keep the Blueberry Muffin Larabar in our snack bowl supplies, I can be sure that he’ll reach for it and not miss sugary muffins. He truly enjoys noshing on these nourishing bars with just dates, cashews, blueberries, lemon, and vanilla, and nothing else!
Best Larabar for Anytime Snacking
As a woman, I believe it is my duty to be fully prepared with snacks at all times. Whether heading out on a road trip or just an afternoon of grocery shopping, we must have a stash. This is even more essential with special diets. Tony is both gluten-free AND dairy-free, and without some emergency edible supplies, I run the risk of a very grumpy husband.
In this category, our top vote is divided, but we both agreed that these flavors fall in first and second, at the least. Tony can’t get enough of the Apple Pie Larabar with dates, apples, raisins, walnuts, almonds and cinnamon. I can’t resist the simplicity of the Cashew Cookie Larabar, which contains ONLY cashews and dates!

My toddler is crazy for the apple pie flavor, she thinks she has to get one every time we check out at the grocery store. I am partial to the seasonal gingerbread flavor but really I haven’t eaten one that I don’t like!
I have always loved Larabars. I’m a sucker for the Cashew Cookie. My kids love them all too!
Peanut Butter Cookie for my afternoon sweet tooth!
Cashew Cookie is my all time favorite!! Only two ingredients, it doesn’t get better than that 🙂
Chocolate chip cookie dough.
The Chocolate Mint Brownie flavor is my favorite.
My favorite Läraba is the mint one but pecan pie and carrot cake are right up there! I also really love the chocolate coconut chew. And lemon. Can you tell I love Lärabas? haha

That is an awesome giveaway! I’ve never tried a Lärabar so I can’t pick a favorite flavor, but all of your picks sound great!
I really like the cashew cookie flavor! It is simple, but tasty.
I’m with Tony, the Apple Pie flavor is my favorite 🙂
I really want to try the peanut butter and jelly! There are so many more I want to try but I can’t eat cashews so I’m limited to which ones, but I currently have peanut butter cookie and apple pie in my cupboard. SO delicious!
