Earth Grown Coconut Milk Ice Cream Lands at Aldi in Three Vegan Flavors

    0
By Alisa Fleming on July 11, 2020 Dairy-Free Ice Cream Reviews, Product Reviews

Aldi launched their Earth Grown Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert almost two years ago, so it’s about time they released some new flavors. Don’t you think?  Their initial line included three flavors made with an almond milk base. Those are still around, but now they’ve added this new range, which is made with coconut milk. The flavors include Mint Chip, Chocolate Peanut Butter, and … Raspberry Cheesecake.

This is more of a modern non-dairy frozen dessert line. Unlike the ultra-rich coconut milk ice cream pints made by brands like Nadamoo and Coconut Bliss, Aldi aimed for a lighter profile. They use ingredients that we’re seeing in a lot of newer dairy-free ice cream brands, which help to keep the calories down. Nevertheless, it is a true dessert in both taste and creamy consistency.

    Mint Chip

    my favorite Non-Dairy Ice Cream

I have been shopping for non-dairy ice cream as half of my family struggle with digesting regular dairy and I saw these at Aldi with a nice variety and great price as most non-dairy pints are closer to $4. I loved the smooth, creamy texture of this ice cream as most non-dairy ice cream tastes more like ice milk and feels dry. I only wish I could find it in the stores again. I think I would fill my freezer with it!!!

Earth Grown Vegan is the best ice cream I have eaten, since my milk allergy was diagnosed 20 years ago! I got one of each flavor because it was on sale for 2.50 instead of the 5.99+ of name brands I’ve bought at Whole Foods. I hope they are going to sell it forever.

    Favorite Aldi Ice Cream

I like Aldi’s almond milk and oat milk ice creams, but their new coconut ones are my favorite. All three are creamy and taste great. The dairy eaters in my family say that they are as good as dairy ice cream. I especially like the chocolate chip mint ice cream. It has a perfectly balanced chocolate mint flavor.

    Delicious creamy bargain!

I was very excited to find these in my local Aldi last week & have tried all 3 flavors. All were delicious & tasted more like real ice cream than some other brands, with plenty of peanut butter ribbons & chocolate bits in the chocolate peanut butter. Mint chocolate chip had lots of chips &; was not overly minty. Raspberry cheesecake had lots of little crust bits & just enough raspberry. Overall, a great bargain at $2.99. Would definitely purchase again (if they have them!)
