Coconut Collaborative Coconut Yog is a Cultured Dairy-Free Yogurt

    2
By Alisa Fleming on April 3, 2019 Dairy-Free Yogurt Reviews, Product Reviews

Coconut Collaborative Yogurt is a purely dairy-free and vegan fruit-on-the-bottom alternative that’s made with simple ingredients. It’s richer than your average yogurt, but it also comes in more petite pots to moderate the serving size. Please Note: Coconut Collaborative Yogurt is still available in the U.K. as “Coconut Yog,” and throughout Europe, but it has been discontinued in the U.S.

    Allergen Notes*

We received the following information from the company when we asked about their allergen processes:

Our Yogurts are produced in dedicated packing lines that handle Coconut, and our desserts in a line that handles Coconut and Soya. However the following allergens are also handled in the factories:

    • Yogurts: Dairy and Gluten.
    • Desserts: Dairy, Gluten, Soya, Almonds and Hazelnuts.

The sites are certified to the highest level and so, there are strict, verified and validated procedures in place to avoid any allergens cross contamination. These procedures include using only approved and audited ingredients and raw material suppliers to ensure there is no allergen cross contamination, as well as cleaning, allergen swabbing and positive releasing of the manufacturing lines prior to producing our products, and the products are routinely tested.

    Delicious but very expensive

Absolutely wonderful in taste and texture, but works out very expensive in comparison to other non dairy yoghurts. Believe me I’ve tried many over the last 50 years.

You would not know that it’s made from coconut.

Five stars for the product but two stars for the price!

    LOVE the coconut collaborative plain

    October 2, 2019

I have been lactose intolerant all of my life, but I finally admitted it to myself this year. I mourned the fact that I would not be able to eat Trader Joe’s plain greek yogurt. On my birthday, I always eat yogurt with my sweet celebration treat (cake, cookies, or brownies). Today is my birthday so I went to the store in search of an alternative to the dairy yogurt and found the Coconut Collaborative. And it hit the spot! Not too coconutty and creamy enough for my taste. I loved it.

This yogurt is a real treat, it has a great consistency so creamy, and a great taste that will stay in your memory, if you are veg or Vegan you will be in heaven. So good for you, coconut is good for the skin, for your heart and therefore for you longevity. I ate boxes of blueberry flavor and I am ready to try the others too.

Product doesn’t last as long as the packing states

Unfortunately not for the first time already, Mango and Passion Fruit yoghurt went off a week before the date that states on the packing. Very upsetting because there products aren’t cheap.

For someone who is diabetic, gluten free, and dairy free this is 99% perfect! It tastes good too unlike some of the plant based yogurts I’ve tried.

Should be marketted as a cottage cheese alternative. The expiration date is set for more than a month away. And, the consistency of this product is incredibly gritty (comparable to cottage cheese). Unfortunately, this wasn’t a great purchase. Hoping it was just a bad batch.

Sounds to me as though it had been frozen at some stage. our local store refurbished and had a problem whereby their fridge froze things and the product had a similar problem.. Nothing compared to how it was supposed to be. Luckily I knew what it was like before I purchased the problematic tub
