Earnest Eats Baked Whole Food Bars are Filling Oat Bars

    1
By Alisa Fleming on April 26, 2020 Dairy-Free Energy, Granola & Snack Bar Reviews, Product Reviews

Though not over-sized, Earnest Eats baked whole food bars are very dense and filling. They’re oaty and chewy, like a granola bar crossed with a traditional energy bar. These tasty snacks provided my husband and I with amazing fuel, whether we were running around town or hiking in the nearby mountains. (Note: The picture below shows them cut into smaller squares so we could sample them.)

Tasting Notes for Earnest Eats Baked Whole Food Bars

We chowed our way through the following five different flavors of Earnest Eats baked whole food bars. Beyond the taste, I love that Earnest Eats baked whole food bars are so darn close to homemade. They skip the protein powders and forgo the fortification, but use whole oats, nuts, seeds, fruits, and nut butter.

    Apple Ginger

This tasty, earthy flavor is infused with sweet dried apple flavor and a mellow ginger zest.

Earnest Eats Baked Whole Food Bars Reviews and Information - dairy-free, vegan, and filling!Ingredients: whole rolled oats, almond butter, brown rice syrup, natural cane syrup, raisins, oat bran, organic dried apples, sunflower seeds, dried cane syrup, walnuts, natural vanilla extract, natural apple flavor, spices, sea salt. contains: almonds and walnuts.*

    Nutrition (per 1.9-ounce bar): 210 calories, 9g fat, 32g carbs, 4g fiber, 14g sugars, 5g protein.*

    Cran Lemon Zest

Mmmmm! The lemon in this bar wasn’t the least bit over powering, but rather sweet and just slightly tangy. The cranberries also hesitate on exerting their presence, rather melding into the backdrop for an intriguing overall flavor that left my taste buds wanting more.

    Almond Trail Mix

I found this variety to be surprisingly similar to the Cran Lemon Zest, and equally tasty, but with an underlying savory vibe from all of the nuttiness.

Earnest Eats Baked Whole Food Bars Reviews and Information - dairy-free, vegan, and filling!Ingredients: whole rolled oats, almond butter, dried cane syrup, brown rice syrup, dried cranberries (cranberries, dried cane syrup, vegetable glycerin, sunflower oil), oat bran, raisins, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, almonds, water, walnuts, natural vanilla extract, sea salt, natural almond flavor. contains: almonds and walnuts.*

    Choco Peanut Butter

Who doesn’t love chocolate with peanut butter? Leaning a touch more toward the energy bar side in texture, this bar had a delicious sweet peanut flavor with a smattering of dairy-free chocolate chips that tied it with the Cran Lemon Zest for my favorite.

Earnest Eats Baked Whole Food Bars Reviews and Information - dairy-free, vegan, and filling!Ingredients: whole oats, natural cane syrup, natural dark chocolate chips(dried cane syrup, chocolate liquor, cocoa butter, vanilla), peanuts (roasted peanuts, salt), brown rice syrup, almond butter, oat bran, natural chunky peanut butter, sunflower seeds, dried cane syrup, natural peanut butter flavor, guar gum, sea salt. contains: peanuts, almonds and walnuts.*

These deliver on taste, ingredients, and heartiness. They’re flavorful and filling but not heavy. I also like that they are made with pure blends of fruits, nuts, oats, and nut butter. The Cran Lemon Zest and Choco Peanut Butter are now two of my go-to’s.
