Earth’s Own is a long-time Canadian brand located in Burnaby, BC. They make all types of dairy-free milk beverages, but their latest creation is, you guessed it, oat milk. Earth’s Own Oat Milk was released not too long ago, and they’ve just added a Chocolate flavor that boasts 50% less sugar than regular chocolate milk. It’s also made with fair trade camino cocoa and Canadian gluten-free oats.

Earth's Own Oat Milk comes in Three Flavors and Sizes. We have the ingredients, ratings, and more

The Chocolate is sold in the larger refrigerated 1.75L cartons and 250mL single serves. It isn’t available in the mid-size shelf-stable cartons.

    Other Allergen Notes*

Earth’s Own Oat Milk has “nut-free” and “soy-free” labels. They state that they have to include a “made in a facility” warning by law, but they have stringent allergen protocols:

We have very strict allergen protocols in place that ensures our oat products test nuts and soy to be at 0 ppm (parts per million), which means it has absolutely no traces of nuts or soy (as per CFIA’s established limit). The operating procedures at our facilities require nut and soy ingredients to be completely segregated, so no cross contamination occurs when making Oat m*lk versus Almond, Cashew or Soy. We also conduct tests between each production run to ensure cleaning and sanitation has removed any traces of existing allergens from the previously run product. Then, as a final step, we test each and every Oat m*lk carton for nuts or soy to ensure we are meeting CFIA’s zero parts per million standard.

We asked about dairy, and it is also present in their facility. They did not respond with “strict allergen protocols” with dairy, but rather, “the lines are thoroughly cleaned and washed.” Be sure to make sure this brand is safe for your needs.
