Eli’s Earth Bars are Organic Vegan Candy Bars

    8
By Alisa Fleming on September 23, 2013 Dairy-Free Chocolate Reviews, Product Reviews

We are heading into the beginning of chocolate season, and this year will be filled with delicious surprises. But before we get to some of the new goodies, I realized that we haven’t fully covered some of the vetted options. Eli’s Earth Bars serve the dairy-free and vegan communities with three types of organic candy bars.

Tasting Notes for Eli’s Earth Bars

Yes, I said candy bars. Not simply chocolate dotted with nuts. We are talking dairy-free caramel, peanut butter, coconut and more. All Eli’s Earth Bars are organic, vegan, and fair trade, and 5% of all sales are donated to charitable children’s organizations. And they come in three varieties …

    Celebrate Bar

This bar combines caramel and a good dose of coconut. It was a new-to-me combination, and I thought it was quite good! The whole almonds on top seemed a little out of place, but did add visual appeal and crunch to the bar. The overall flavor is excellent, particularly with that thick layer of sweet milky chocolate.

    Dream Big Bar

The Dream Big Bar has a Snicker’s bar vibe. The peanut butter wasn’t as present in this one, making for more of caramel-peanut-chocolate combination (it has big peanut chunks). There wasn’t any nougat, but it isn’t missed.

    Treasure Bar

A crunchy Reese’s-like bar –  it breaks and looks like a Butterfinger, but the inside is relatively soft and chewy. I thought it was delicious overall. However, I really wanted the peanut butter and chocolate parts without the thin layer of caramel. It almost seemed unnecessary, and confused the overall flavor a bit. But I’m a purist when it comes to flavors, and like things kept simple!

For someone who cannot consume dairy products, I adore these bars. All three flavors that I’ve had are excellent. Gladly consume multiple of them.

I found these randomly in a discount grocery and LOVED them. I’ve only had the Celebrate bar, but I want more. I saw this review as I was looking to find them online. I highly recommend Eli Earth Bars.

    Satisfy the sweet tooth

Each bar contains a thick dairy-free caramel coated in a very milky chocolate. They differ slightly with coconuts, peanuts, or almonds, offering a similar tasty vibe. Perfect treat to satisfy the sweet tooth!
