Evo Hemp Bars come in Four Vegan, Grain-Free Fruit + Nut Flavors

By Alisa Fleming on May 6, 2015 Dairy-Free Energy, Granola & Snack Bar Reviews, Product Reviews

It all started with one product line, Evo Hemp Bars. This hemp forward company infused classic fruit and nut bars with hemp seeds and hemp protein powder, and launched them in six flavors. Since that initial release, Evo has launched a huge range of hemp products. But the Fruit + Nut Bars have persisted. They did discontinue a couple flavors, but my favorite, Apple Pecan, is still around. And so are a few other popular flavors.

Evo Hemp Bars come in Four Vegan, Grain-Free Fruit + Nut Flavors

These have that classic Larabar base, but set themselves apart with nutty hemp seeds, added protein, and sweeter taste (from coconut nectar). Each flavor also contains a bonus superfood, like turmeric (for anti-inflammation) or yerba mate (for energy).

    The Apple Pecan is tasty!

This flavor of Evo Hemp Bars has a wonderful apple cinnamon scent and notable apple taste. There’s a smattering of pecan bites and textural hints of the hemp protein powder. I found it to be a little too sweet for breakfast (they could cut the coconut nectar sweetener, in my opinion), but good for afternoon fuel and healthy sweet cravings.

Hi Alisa, I came across your article and thank you very much for the wonderful information. I am curious about “cold-pressed” and how does “cold-pressed” work to create healthy bars? Would you like to share more on this? Thank you

      • Alisa Fleming on September 16, 2015 9:47 am

Ingredients that are cold-pressed are said to retain more nutrients than those extracted with heat or chemical methods – that is my understanding at least!
