One of the original nice cream pints is making waves with a total brand shake up. Hakuna Banana is now Must Love Bananas, and we think the new name is pretty fitting. Although their frozen desserts come in several flavors, they are banana-forward. And for the most part, Must Love Bananas is sweetened solely with fruit.
Must Love Bananas is the New Big Kahuna of Vegan Nice Cream
In addition to rebranding, they’ve tweaked their formula just a little bit. But for the most part, the consumer reviews below for Hakuna Banana carry over to the Must Love Bananas pints (they also make chocolate covered bars!). Be sure to leave your own unbiased rating and review below if you try any of them!

Allergen Note*
I asked Hakuna Banana about allergen protocols, and they sent the following response:
We are managed on equipment that sometimes processes milk, wheat, tree nuts, eggs, soy, corn, and peanuts, so if your audience has severe allergies, it would be safer for them to not consume our product.
But when I specifically asked again about their cleaning processes, they responded:
Our plant has a strict policy of thoroughly washing before and after each production run of our products!

The best I’ve cream ever !!!
Actually, one of the best I’ve ever had. So soft and creamy . Eatery bite melts in your mouth !!! Tried the chocolate chip, and then one that’s just banana. They’re both amazing. Definitely my new favorite ice cream.
If you expect banana ice cream, you'll be disappointed
Bought the Banana Ice Cream desserts from Costco (10 in a pack), and thought it would be similar to having actual banana ice cream.
Completely different and honestly one of the worst ice creams I’ve ever had.
Cashew Cookie
This flavor was absolutely the worse plant based ice cream I’ve ever tasted. I couldn’t even get pass two bites. I end up throwing it in the trash and not to mention it was pretty pricey. I definitely will not be buying this again
FULL SEND LOVE IT
THE CHOCOLATE CHOCOLATE CHIP IS MY FAVORITE. I WISH IT WAS SOLD EVERYWHERE
Yummy good
Love this product !!!Best of all no aftertaste which many ice cream type products have ! I’m vegan and try not to eat any products with added oils in the ingredients !great product !
LOVED THE BANILLA
I love the banana vanilla one don’t ever change the ingredients!!
Stick to oats
The oats must love line is great, but when it comes to must love bananas there are better alternatives. Some of the banana combinations just taste like baby food. If you have kids go for it. Healthier choice but for adults it definitely isn’t worth the price point for a non dairy ice cream.
New choco chips suck
The original Hakuna Banana chocolate chocolate chip was the best. The choco chips in the new formula are awful.
Hakuna Banana was better
Disappointing changeover. I loved the Hakuna Banana ChocoChoco Chip, but the Must Love one is not as dark, and the cocoa and chocolate are flavorless and gritty.
Disappointing
Tried the chocolate chip flavor and it was inedible. I couldn’t make it past two bites. It tasted like icy, sour banana puree with acidic cocoa. I was really disappointed.
