Oatsome Oat Milk Keeps it Simple with Original, Chocolate, and Barista

By Alisa Fleming on February 26, 2021 Dairy-Free Milk Substitute Reviews, Product Reviews

Not long ago, I announced the launch of Oatsome Oat Milk, the first dairy-free milk beverage from Better Body Foods. It’s a very drinkable and reportedly frothable vegan alternative made with gluten-free oats that are grown organically in England and processed in Italy. But the end product is sold in the U.S.!

The initial release of Oatsome was just in Original. But they’ve since rolled out two more varieties: Chocolate and Barista. We have full details on all three below.

Oatsome Oatmilk in 3 Varieties - all vegan, gluten-free, soy-free, and free of additives.

Oatsome is pretty darn awesome in my morning latte

The smell is neutral, the texture awesome, leaving no aftertaste in my morning latte. I t is less sweet than when I used my 2 percent cow milk but frankly I find Oatsome just as good. Best part? I can thoroughly enjoy my morning latte with Oatsome without the digestive upsets that cow milk causes me. EXCELLENT product!

Despite the lack of added sugars, this oatmilk has quite a bit of sweetness because of how they process the oats. It’s pretty creamy and slightly thick. We liked it on cereal, and I think it would be good in smoothies and dessert recipes. But the sweetness limits its versatility a little. I’m not someone who drinks dairy-free milk beverages straight up, but I taste test them, and didn’t find that this brand tasted overly oat-y.
