What Cultures Does Oui Dairy Free Use?
Several of you have asked about this, but unfortunately Yoplait isn’t willing to share that information. I inquired and they responded with the following, “We use a proprietary blend of cultures so are unable to share that information.”
More Allergen Notes
We asked Yoplait how they handle potential cross contamination with dairy, and they sent the following information.
We have a very rigorous process in place to ensure our Oui Dairy Alternative is dairy-free. These process controls span from the ingredient suppliers through the finished product. Though our ingredients are inherently dairy-free, we don’t rely on that alone. We work with each of our suppliers to confirm there is no cross contamination at their manufacturing plant or in the storage or transportation of the ingredients. In addition, we employ rigorous processes in our own manufacturing plants. Although the product is currently produced in a manufacturing plant that also produces dairy products, the Oui Dairy Alternative manufacturing plant has robust allergen programs with validated cleaning practices, pre-start-up inspections, and testing on the finished product for the presence of dairy. With these controls in place we are confident that our products are dairy-free.

What Others Are Saying ...
Very good snack for those who have to be careful.
I am definitely delighted by the raspberry version. Well balanced tang and sweet, without a weird aftertastes. It’s texture is smooth with a mouthfeel like a light pudding. I wish I knew more about the nutritional value of the culture not mentioned on the label. So for now a little treat of tastebud tickles.
I love the Oui Coconut yogurt and eat quite a bit of it but lately when I open them they are totally liquid and unappealing. This is not a cheap yogurt to be pouring down the drain. I cannot find the company to complain directly. Also, I think there is too much sugar.
Response from Go Dairy Free
It sounds like a bad batch issue, which hopefully will pass. I can’t help you with an email, but by law, they have to have contact information on the package. Typically a phone number.
Delicious! A bit too much sugar...
It’s like having dessert! I’m happy to have found a dairy-free yogurt that, to me, is even better tasting than regular yogurt. I do wish there was less sugar, as I don’t think it’s necessary (or healthy) to be that sweet. I also wish it was less expensive. I don’t know the reason for the glass jar, but switching that out for something cheaper might help to lower the price? Less sugar, and lower price – I would eat this stuff daily!
Tastes great! But...
Love the creamy texture and it is delicious! But I eat yogurt for the probiotics and although it does say cultures on the label that is not enough info for me. I want to know what strain of cultures and the CFU’s! I need to actually know this is putting good bacteria back into my belly!
Like the glass. Tastes great. no active cultures, not yogurt
Tastes really good but is not really yogurt. No mention of probiotic cultures anywhere. The high sugar negates the benefits of probiotics any way. Might as well eat ice cream.
Response from Go Dairy Free
See the post above. Full ingredients are listed – the last ingredient for each flavor is cultures. It’s a cultured dairy-free yogurt, like others.
I love every flavor and I think it’s great that the packaging is plastic free!
Best tasting vegan yogurt I’ve ever had hands down.
Smooth and creamy
Absolutely delicious. I tried the raspberry flavor and it did not disappoint. There is a strong coconut flavor, but it complements the other flavors well. Smooth and creamy texture.
