Rising Moon Vegan Frozen Ravioli comes in a Trio of Organic Flavors

By Alisa Fleming on February 25, 2015 Dairy-Free Cheesy Pasta & Rice Reviews, Product Reviews

When I first wrote about Rising Moon Vegan Frozen Ravioli they made five varieties. Sadly, a couple have been discontinued, but they still make three certified organic, plant-based flavors to fill the dairy-free stuffed pasta void. We have tried a couple, and were overall impressed.

Rising Moon Organics Vegan Frozen Ravioli (and Gnocchi) - Multiple Dairy-Free Options

Rising Moon Vegan Frozen Ravioli comes in a Trio of Organic Flavors

Rising Moon Vegan Frozen Ravioli are so flavorful that a light drizzle of extra-virgin olive oil was the only thing we really needed for serving. But, they are a bit skimpy on the filling. The pasta is quite thick, and took much longer to cook than the package indicated (12 minutes to get to al dente vs the 8 minutes stated on the instructions).

Please note that Rising Moon isn’t a vegan, dairy-free, or even vegetarian company. Most of their ravioli products contain cheese or milk in some form. But the following varieties are made without dairy.

    Rich in flavor

Now curious to trial their other selections, I found these delightful pasta pillows to be rich in flavor, needing only a drizzle of good olive oil or a light sauce. My only complaint was the ratio of pasta to filling – the very thick noodles took much longer to cook than the package stated and I was rewarded for my time with less artichoke and olive goodness than expected.
