Stonyfield Organic Dairy Free Soy Yogurt is a Cultured Classic (DISCONTINUED)

    0
By Alisa Fleming on April 1, 2019 Discontinued Products, Product Reviews

Sadly, after many years of transition, Stonyfield has retired their dairy-free soy yogurt line. In the U.S., soy yogurt is getting harder to come by, but Silk Soymilk Yogurt is still available. And Stonyfield is still making their Dairy-Free Smoothie Pouches.

Formerly known as O’Soy, Stonyfield Organic Dairy Free Soy Yogurt is the new face of their non-dairy line. It’s still made from organic soy, and it’s still available throughout the U.S. In fact, their distribution of all four flavors is rather widespread.

Stonyfield Organic Dairy Free Soy Yogurt Review and Information

Stonyfield Organic Dairy Free Soy Yogurt is a Cultured Classic

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Despite a long decade of soy bashing, this yogurt has held it’s place in the market. As dairy-free “old timers” know, soy really does make one of the creamiest, most dairy-like bases for yogurt. We do wish they had an unsweetened or low sugar version, but these are still relatively high in protein and rich in live active cultures.

If you’ve bought and tried them, don’t forget to leave your own rating and quick review below. It helps others make an informed purchase!

    Allergen Note*

Stonyfield does not list a “may contain” statement on their dairy-free yogurt, and it is labeled as dairy-free. However, they have informed us that it is produced in the same facility and on the same equipment as other products containing dairy. Here is what Stonyfield says about their allergen processes:

We follow safe manufacturing practices to ensure there is no cross contamination with milk, but as with any health concern we recommend that you consult with your physician if you have a dairy allergy and you’re considering trying our Organic Dairy Free Soy Yogurt.

While this is a strong second, I miss the Whole Soy Company yogurt.

Thanks for including the bit about soy bashing; I’m tired of it, too

    O' Soy Was Much Better

    Rated 2 out of 5
    December 19, 2019

Stonyfield changed the recipe for their new dairy-free yogurt. It is gritty and tasteless compared to the old O’Soy, which was creamier and much better tasting.
